A Crazy Journey to the EQUATOR (in São Tomé)
HELLO from São Tomé and Príncipe - my 145th country! It's a tiny Portuguese-speaking island just 200 miles West of Gabon in Central Africa.
This morning, someone at my guesthouse told me that the Equator runs through the very bottom part of the country, so I decided to go on a wild journey to find it, and document every step of the way. Have you ever been to the equator?
**NOTE** -- This video style is a completely new approach for me. It's longer, unscripted and there's no voice over. I would really appreciate if you could give me some feedback on it. Paradise on Earth! | Exploring São Tomé
Welcome to São Tomé. In December of 2019 and with the help of Expedition Earth, I travelled to São Tomé Island. We went on a recon mission to scout the island for future tours. This island was recommended to us by one of Johan's friends and wow this is a lost paradise, to say the least!
We traversed the island for 16 days and despite the Island being reasonably small, we still did not get around to everything. This island has so much to over and see and the history on this remote island is beyond belief. Enjoy this video and I hope everyone gets a chance to travel to this beautiful island called São Tomé!

My name is Mbali from South Africa and I’m sharing with you our latest vacation trip to São Tomé and Príncipe. If you love relaxing and a bit of adventure when travelling this is the perfect place for you!
This island country in the Gulf of Guinea, off the western equatorial coast of Central Africa is truly a hidden gem, with one of the most friendliest people I have ever met.
Our tour guide: Sipson Tours STP and you can book a tour via Tripadvisor and honestly the tour had so many stops that we couldn't do all of them but even so it was money well spent.
One of the hotels we stayed at was OMALI São Tomé. We ate at local restaurants and the best one for us was definitely CASA CANTAGALO in Santana.
There's so much to do and we didn't even scratch the surface of this beautiful island. I'm definitely going back soon!!!

Visiting the Equator and Tricks at the Equator
Our visit to the equator in quito, ecuador. There are 2 equators the traditionally accepted equator and GPS marked equator. At the traditional equator there is a huge monument. At the GPS equator there are guides performing some interesting equator tricks and a small exhibition hall, the most interesting piece here was a shrunken head of a tribal man. #Equator #quito #ecuador #gpsequator
3 Ways I'm Preparing for Central/West AFRICA
TOMORROW, I'm leaving for a massive trip around Central and West Africa to 9 countries -- Namibia, Angola, São Tomé and Príncipe, Equatorial Guinea, Cameroon, Gabon, Chad, Mali & Mauritania.
This trip to Africa has been VERY challenging to plan, tedious to get visas for (5 countries), and extremely expensive to book flights & hotels ($15K+ out of pocket) -- but it's going to be a trip of a lifetime and I CAN'T WAIT to show you places that you've probably never heard of before.

Visiting the EQUATOR in ECUADOR ???????? | Is This Really The TRUE Equator???
In the latest episode of #WiththeWind we head to the most touristed spot in all of Quito, Ecuador. Here, marks the first known location of the equator. The equator was first identified in 1736 and later relocated due to the power of GPS technology. But today, this park with the tall monument and museum still sits as a symbol of exploration for the first expedition missions to find the Equator.

JustPlanes filming in the cockpit of the EUROATLANTIC Boeing 767-300ER (CS-TLO) roundtrip from Lisbon to Sao Tome. This video shows the Pilotseye view of the approach, landing and taxi at Sao Tome International Airport.
We first visited EuroAtlantic back in 2009 filming the 757 & 767. We're delighted to return to Lisbon again for this really very special airline that is known for its operation all over the world mostly on behalf of other airlines.
This time we focus entirely on some African routes operated on a regular basis. That includes Sao Tome on the island of Sao Tome as well as Bissau ion Ginuea-Bissau which is new for us and becomes the 170th country featured in the series while Bissau becomes the 943rd destination!
