An Epic Flight - Flying the Ilyushin IL-76 Cargo Transporter to Iraq

This week, I flew on SilkWay Ilyushin IL-76 transporter from Baku to Erbil, Iraq. The flight was completely different from the Western conventional airplane. It took a strong team of 5 men to operate including 2 pilots, a. flight engineer, a radio controller and a navigator. The flight also carries a loadmaster and 2 technicians.

Before takeoff, the captain and loadmaster briefly introduced the cockpit and the cargo cabin. Inside the cabin, it has a crane system and ramp system able to lower to load without infrastructure. This particular IL-76TD-90 has new stage 4 noise compliant engines (Perm PS90 engines) instead of the older and noisier Soloviev D-30 engines.

Our flight took 2.5 hours from Baku to Erbil. After dropping off the cargo, we flew back to Baku empty. The view from the navigator seat through the glass nose was amazing. Watch the full video of the entire IL-76 flight and cargo operation.

The Ilyushin Il-76 is a multi-purpose, fixed-wing, four-engine turbofan strategic airlifter designed by the Soviet Union's Ilyushin design bureau. It was first planned as a commercial freighter in 1967. For more information, visit:

Who are Kara and Nate?!
Watch our documentary here:

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married 2013 and were super “normal.” I was a teacher and Nate started a small printing business from the spare bedroom of our apartment.

We discovered the world of “travel hacking” while planning our honeymoon & became addicted ;)

So after 2 years of obsessively saving $35k and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016 for a “one year” trip around the world.

Our goal was to see as many places as possible before we ran out of money and went back home to “normal life.” We started this channel to share our experiences with friends and family, but quickly fell in love with living on the road and found a new passion for capturing our travels through video. So we did everything we could to keep going.

4 years later, we achieved our new goal of visiting 100 countries and all 7 continents. We had no plans to slow down, until 2020 forced us to ;) Which is when we bought a converted van to start exploring our own country for the first time!

After ~2 years of van life, we are back to full time international traveling! And now we are finding the best adventures the world has to offer :)

We are incredibly grateful to be able to continue doing something we love every day. ???????????? Thank you to everyone who has been a part of our journey!

What Happened Inside the Airplane Graveyard?

I visited Mojave, California which is a famous airplane graveyard in the desert. More than 100 planes are stored here and it is end of the line for most planes that arrive in the graveyard. I went inside an ex Thai Airways B747-400 to take a look at the interior, much to my surprise the interior had been kept intact. Then I step inside an ex-Qantas B747 and found my way to walk on the 747 wing! I could almost touch the winglet!

Then we drove to Victorville to meet up with an airplane scraper Huy, Huy gave us a tour and explained how they tear down airplanes using an excavator. The useful parts, such as the engines, the avionics and the interior, are usually stripped out for sale . We went inside an ex United B747-400 and ex Singapore/VIM B777-200 to take a look.

Talaat Captan, owner of Air Hollywood, and Anthony Toth, co-owner of the Pan Am Experience, appear in this video as tour guides of the airplane graveyard storage.

Solo on Iraq's Highway of Death ????????

I decided to leave Baghdad and head north to the city of Mosul however it was a 4 hour road trip. Now many tourists tend to travel Iraq on a tour to avoid any stress however this was not my decision, I found the first taxi available and agreed a price and off I went.

Firstly we stopped in a town called Samarra which is run by local militia who held my passport whilst I visited the mosque, after a windy visit we continued our journey to Mosul. This is how it went...????????

The Last Qantas Boeing 747 - An Emotional Farewell

A grand farewell to the Qantas Boeing 747, flying from Australia to Los Angeles and to her final resting place at the Mojave airplane graveyard.

Qantas’s B747 is the most iconic plane and has served the Australian airline for nearly 5 decades. I was in Los Angeles and Mojave to witness her final arrival before retirement. It was a bittersweet day to see her final landing on July 24th 2020 in the Mojave Desert, California (Landing by Captain Ewen Cameron, 11:50 local time).

After her landing I was able to board the 747, I got the chance to interview the pilots and joined them for a final walk around. There were just so many emotions running through everyone while bidding farewell to the most iconic airplane of all time.

A lot of my love towards aviation was inspired from the Qantas B747, in the video I share my stories growing up with her. Not only will I miss the 747, I will also miss the human stories from this plane; sharing the laughter, the passion, different cultures and experiences through the shared love of B747 that brought us together! Onwards and Upwards.

Check out for more information and memorable photoprints.

Afghanistan, Country of Taliban | Facts, Tourism, Culture, History & Travel Guide | Urdu / Hindi

Afghanistan | افغانستان, officially, Islamic Republic of Afghanistan is a mountainous landlocked country at the crossroads of Central and South Asia. Afghanistan is bordered by Pakistan to the east and south, Iran to the west, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan to the north and China to the northeast. Occupying 652,000 square kilometers / 252,000 square miles, it is a mountainous country with plains in the north and southwest. Kabul is the capital and largest city. Its population is around 32 million, composed mostly of ethnic Pashtuns, Tajiks, Hazaras, and Uzbeks. Humans lived in what is now Afghanistan at least 50,000 years ago. Settled life emerged in the region 9,000 years ago, evolving gradually into the Indus civilization / Shortugai site, the Oxus civilization / Dashlyji site, and the Helmand civilization / Mundigak site of the 3rd millennium BCE. Indo-Aryans migrated through Bactria-Margiana area to Gandhara, followed by the rise of the Iron Age Yaz I culture - ca. 1500–1100 BCE, which has been closely associated with the culture depicted in the Avesta, the ancient religious texts of Zoroastrianism. The region, then known as Ariana, fell to Achaemenid Persians in the 6th century BCE, who conquered the areas to their east as far as the Indus River. Alexander the Great invaded the region in the 4th century BCE, who married Roxana in Bactria before his Kabul Valley campaign, where he faced resistance from Aspasioi and Assakan tribes. The Greco-Bactrian Kingdom became the eastern end of the Hellenistic world. Following the conquest by Mauryan Indians, Buddhism and Hinduism flourished in the region for centuries. The Kushan emperor Kanishka, who ruled from his twin capitals of Kapisi and Puruṣapura, played an important role in the spread of Mahayana Buddhism to China and Central Asia. Various other Buddhist dynasties originated from this region as well, including the Kidarites, Hephthalites, Alkhons, Nezaks, Zunbils and Turk Shahis. Muslims brought Islam to Sassanian-held Herat and Zaranj in the mid-7th century, while fuller Islamization was achieved between the 9th and 12th centuries under the Saffarid, Samanid, Ghaznavid, and Ghurid dynasties. Parts of the region were later ruled by the Khwarazmian, Khalji, Timurid, Lodi, Sur, Mughal, and Safavid empires. The political history of the modern state of Afghanistan began with the Hotak dynasty, whose founder Mirwais Hotak declared southern Afghanistan independent in 1709. In 1747, Ahmad Shah Durrani established the Durrani Empire with its capital at Kandahar. In 1776, the Durrani capital was moved to Kabul while Peshawar became the winter capital, the latter was lost to Sikhs in 1823. In the late 19th century, Afghanistan became a buffer state in the Great Game between the British and Russian empires. In the First Anglo-Afghan War, the East India Company briefly seized control of Afghanistan, but following the Third Anglo-Afghan War in 1919 the country was able to become independent from foreign influence, eventually becoming a monarchy under Amanullah Khan, until almost 50 years later when Zahir Shah was overthrown and a republic was established. In 1978, after a second coup, Afghanistan first became a socialist state, evoking the Soviet–Afghan War in the 1980s against mujahideen rebels. By 1996, most of the country was captured by the Islamic fundamentalist Taliban, who ruled as a totalitarian regime; they were removed from power after the US invasion in 2001 but still control a significant portion of the country. The ongoing war between the government and the Taliban has perpetuated Afghanistan's problematic human rights and women's rights records, with numerous abuses committed by both sides, such as the killing of civilians, kidnapping, torture. Afghanistan is a unitary presidential Islamic republic. Kabul, Kandahar, Herat, Mazar-e-Sharif, Jalalabad, Kunduz, Taloqan, Puli Khumri, Ghazni and Khost are biggest and famous cities of this country. Badakhshan, Badghis, Baghalan, Balkh, Bamyan, Daykundi, Farah, Faryab, Ghazni, Ghor, Helmand, Herat, Jowzjan, Kabul, Kandahar, Kapisa, Khost, kunar, Kunduz, Laghman, Logar, Nangarhar, Nimruz, Nuristan, Oruzgan, Paktia, Panjsir, Parwan, Samangan, Sar-e-Pol, Takhar, Wardak and Zabul are the 34 provinces of Afghanistan. Jam Meenar is Afghanistan's UNESCO world heritage sight.

Kandahar City2023/کندهار شهر Afghanistan ???????? Beautiful View By Drone 4k60FPS #kandahar#afghanistanکندهار#افغانستان#ولايت#کابل

Kandahar is a city in southern Afghanistan, located about 450 km southwest of Kabul, the capital city. It is the second-largest city in Afghanistan and serves as the capital of Kandahar Province.

Kandahar has a long and rich history, dating back to ancient times. The city was an important center of trade and culture along the ancient Silk Road, connecting China, India, and Persia. It was also a major center of Islamic learning and scholarship in the medieval period.

In modern times, Kandahar has been a key site of conflict and violence during the ongoing war in Afghanistan. It was the spiritual and political capital of the Taliban regime that ruled Afghanistan from 1996 to 2001, and has since been the site of numerous clashes between Afghan government forces, international military forces, and various insurgent groups.

Despite the challenges of ongoing conflict, Kandahar remains an important cultural and economic center in southern Afghanistan, with a vibrant bazaar, historic sites such as the Mausoleum of Ahmad Shah Durrani, and a growing population of over 600,000 people.

Namskara this is my Malaysian vlog,Indians will get visa on arrival for Malaysia but,you cannot fly directly from India to Malaysia for visa on arrival you need to visit Malaysia from 2nd county.

I visited Malaysia from Thailand in the month of August.

The Petronas Towers, also known as the Petronas Twin Towers and the KLCC Twin Towers, they are the world's tallest twin skyscrapers. Between 1998 and 2004, they were the tallest buildings in the world. The Petronas Towers remained as the tallest buildings in Malaysia until 2021, when they were surpassed by the Merdeka 118. The Petronas Towers are a major landmark of Kuala Lumpur, along with the nearby Kuala Lumpur Tower and Merdeka 118, and are visible in many places across the city. The Petronas Towers were almost the same height as the World Trade Center.

Afghanistan Travel/Afghan Facts | Afghan Documentary | افغانستان کی سیر

Afghanistan is a landlocked country at the crossroads of Central and South Asia. It is bordered by Pakistan to the east and south, Iran to the west, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan to the north, and Tajikistan and China to the northeast. Occupying 652,864 square kilometers , the country is predominately mountainous with plains in the north and southwest. It is inhabited by 31.4 million people as of 2020, composed mostly of ethnic Pashtuns, Tajiks, Hazaras, and Uzbeks. Kabul serves as its capital and largest city.

Human habitation in Afghanistan dates back to the Middle Paleolithic Era, and the country's strategic location along the Silk Road connected it to the cultures of the Middle East and other parts of Asia. The land has historically been home to various peoples and has witnessed numerous military campaigns, including those by Alexander the Great, Mauryas, Muslim Arabs, Mongols, British, Soviets, and in 2001 by the United States with NATO-allied countries. It has been called unconquerable and nicknamed the graveyard of empires, though it has been occupied during several different periods of its history. The land also served as the source from which the Greco-Bactrians, Kushans, Hephthalites, Samanids, Saffarids, Ghaznavids, Ghorids, Khaljis, Mughals, Hotaks, Durranis, and others have risen to form major empires.

The modern state of Afghanistan began with the Hotak and Durrani dynasties in the 18th century. In the late 19th century, Afghanistan became a buffer state in the Great Game between British India and the Russian Empire. Following the Third Anglo-Afghan War in 1919, the country became free of foreign dominance, eventually becoming the Kingdom of Afghanistan in June 1926 under King Aman Ullah. This kingdom lasted almost fifty years, until King Zahir was overthrown and a republic was established in July 1973. In 1978, after a second coup, Afghanistan became a socialist state, provoking the Soviet–Afghan War in the 1980s against mujahedeen rebels. By 1996 most of Afghanistan was captured by the Islamic fundamentalist group, the Taliban, who ruled most of the country as a totalitarian regime for over five years. The Taliban were removed from power after the US invasion in 2001 but still controlled a significant portion of the country. The twenty-year-long war between the government and the Taliban reached a climax with the 2021 Taliban offensive and the resulting fall of Kabul which returned the Taliban to power.

The country has high levels of terrorism, poverty, child malnutrition, and corruption. It is a member of the United Nations, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation, the Group of 77, the Economic Cooperation Organization, and the Non-Aligned Movement. Afghanistan's economy is the world's 96th largest, with a gross domestic product (GDP) of $72.9 billion by purchasing power parity; the country fares much worse in terms of per-capita GDP (PPP), ranking 169th out of 186 countries as of 2018.
