40 kn winds off the coast of El Salvador heading south to Costa Rica. but of course when I take out the camera we could only get about 34 sustained winds but, it was 40 for most of the time.

Ten years later the Fleming 75 was redesigned with a longer hull, longer keel and bulbous bow to become the new Fleming 78. The added waterline length and bulbous bow reduce fuel consumption and increase range by 500 NM. The yacht has the same elegant but no-nonsense design philosophy as her smaller sisters, but her larger size permits her to travel further and provide her guests and crew with even more luxurious accommodations. She has three staterooms all en-suite with a separate crews quarters aft. Standard power is twin MAN V12-1550hp engines, and MAN V8-1000hp, & MAN V8-1200hp engines are optional. She has a range of 2,000 nautical miles at 10 knots and, with the larger engines, can achieve speeds in excess of 20 knots. She is equipped as standard with Aquadrive vibration isolation systems. She has twin 32KW Onan generators, centralized hydraulic system driving American Bowthruster stabilizers, bow thruster and twin Maxwell windlasses. A custom central monitoring system with three 15 color touchscreens displays all onboard systems, including tank levels, bilge & fire alarms as well as a fully controllable CCTV system.

This is our trawler life story.
We retired early and decided to make a big change. We sold everything and moved aboard our 54' Cheoy Lee passagemaker, a “go anywhere in the world”, ocean going power boat.
That was in 2014 and we have never looked back.
Now in our late 50's we are free of work and we are living aboard and cruising our trawler full time.
We have two additional crew members, feline brothers, Blake and Barkley. Yes, we have two brave (sorta) boat cats, on board!
Join us and our crew, on our adventures as we explore new places, discover more about our trawler and what makes her work, and learn more about ourselves in our young retirement years. Our hope is to entertain and inspire you to pursue your own passions through telling our story of our cruising trawler lifestyle.

This was the second day of my delivery of a 1963 57 foot Burger Motoryacht. We were in 3 to 4 foot seas with about a 3 to 4 foot second in between waves. The boat was very quiet and ran very nicely through the chop.

Welcome to What Yacht To Do, a Great Loop Documentary. Today, (April 21, 2022) Rev and Sam are moving on their Great Loop Route from Windmill Harbor Marina in Hilton Head, South Carolina over to our first mooring ball in Church Creek 1.
