Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married 2013 and were super “normal.” I was a teacher and Nate started a small business from the spare bedroom of our apartment. We discovered the world of “travel hacking” & became obsessed. So after 2 years of saving $35k and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016 for a “one year” trip around the world. Our goal was to see as many places as possible before we rean out of money and went home to normal life. We started this travel vlog to share our experiences with friends and family, but quickly fell in love with this lifestyle and did everything we could to keep going. 4 years later, we achieved our new goal of visiting 100 countries and all 7 continents. We had no plans to slow down, until 2020 forced us to ;) Which is when we bought a converted van to start exploring our own country for the first time. Van life was a major adjustment and so different than flying every week like we were used to, but we are incredibly thankful to be able to continue doing something we love every day. ????????????

So after 2 years of obsessively saving $35k and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016 for a “one year” trip around the world.
Our goal was to see as many places as possible before we ran out of money and went back home to “normal life.” We started this channel to share our experiences with friends and family, but quickly fell in love with living on the road and found a new passion for capturing our travels through video. So we did everything we could to keep going.
4 years later, we achieved our new goal of visiting 100 countries and all 7 continents. We had no plans to slow down, until 2020 forced us to ;) Which is when we bought a converted van to start exploring our own country for the first time!
After ~2 years of van life, we are back to full time international traveling! And now we are finding the best adventures the world has to offer :)

???????????? KARA'S FAMOUS ONE POT PEANUT BUTTER RAMEN RECIPE!
I'm usually a biiiig measuring cup kind of girl, but for some reason with this recipe, I don't measure anything and taste it along the way. The ingredients change every time. Have fun with it!!! ????
This is for 2 servings (keep in mind i have no idea what i'm doing):
Ingredients:
Olive oil (or whatever you like)
4ish Garlic cloves
1ish inch fresh Ginger
2 of your favorite instant ramens
Salt
Pepper
Coconut aminos
Cayenne pepper
Peanut butter
Fresh Cilantro
Green onions
Toasted sesame seeds
Sriracha
1. Sauté the garlic and ginger with some olive oil
2. Add water (or veg broth!) and make the “sauce”
3. Add the seasoning package that comes with the ramen if you want, or make your own:
4. Add coconut aminos (Idk, maybe 1/3 cup?), salt, pepper, cayenne (if using soy sauce, you don't need as much or any salt!). You could also add the chopped green onions here to cook In the sauce
5. Stir in 1ish scoop of peanut butter
6. Add in noods and let it all cook together
7. Put in bowls and add fresh cilantro, green onion, sesame seeds, and sriracha!

The snow has arrived people and doing all of the winter renovation on the van, we're hoping she can survive and stand the test of time and we don't cross any winter storms! We have already experienced minus temperatures and all pipes are still in tact (so far) So far we've loved travelling during the winter, its a lot quieter and relaxing but we know soon enough we will be camping in below -25 temperatures and we just have all fingers and toes crossed for a smooth ride! So far we are loving living winter van life!

After 2 years of saving $ and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this #travelvlog to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling, and we didn’t want to stop after just one year! After achieving our new goal of 100 countries and then all 7 continents (check out our documentary here: we had no plans to slow down, until 2020 decided to force us to ;) which is when we bought a converted Sprinter van to start exploring our own country for the first time. We had an awesome first 3 days on our PCH road trip, but unfortunately it came to an abrupt end. This seems to be a trend in 2020...plans getting turned upside down. BUT first, we got to explore Long Beach :)
