6 DAYS IN SINGAPORE Travel Diary 2020 | Places to Visit & Sumptuous Asian Food Trip
**ITINERARY BELOW**
Here's an overview of my recent trip to Singapore with the people closest to me and it started the day after my birthday in January. This covers our 6-day trip - from the places we went to, where we shopped, and what we ate.
Our main agenda: to eat various authentic and affordable asian food as much as our tummies could take. I missed some food clips such as the delicious fish soup of Uncle Chef at Food fare at Clifford Centre, our last meal at Five Spice in Jewel, and the groceries we bought at Fair Price (we had home-cooked breakfast for several days and the goods we brought home). Lots of good food, really!
3 out of 4 of us are first-timers in this beautifully diverse Garden city. We had a budget to work with so nothing too fancy here if you’re looking into that. But if you're watching this and you're planning to go to Singapore for the first time, I hope you find this travel diary helpful in some way.
Our complete itinerary:
Day 1
- Arrival at Changi Airport
- Check-in at our airbnb
- Dinner at Old Airport Road Hawker Centre (the nearest hawker place from our airbnb)
- Grocery shopping at a nearby Fair Price (24-hour grocery store)
Day 2
- Breakfast at our airbnb
- Universal Studios Singapore (whole day)
- Lunch at Oasis Spice Cafe (delicious indian food!)
- Dinner at Old Airport Road Hawker Centre
Day 3
- Breakfast at our airbnb
- Stroll around Marina Bay Sands, Red Dot Design Museum, Merlion Park, Cavenagh bridge, Esplanade, Helix Bridge (yes, a lot of walking on a sunny day)
- Lunch at Food fare at Clifford Centre
- Gardens by the bay + OCBC Skyway (tickets via Klook)
- Dinner at Makansutra Gluttons Bay
Day 4
- Chinese food for breakfast in Geylang--which apparently is Singapore's red light district
- Walk around Arab St, Haji lane
- Shop at Bugis Street
- Eat lunch at Mak's Place The Hawkerant in Kembangan (their cream sauce is so good!)
- Marina Bay Sands Skypark (tickets via Klook)
Day 5
- Breakfast at Old Airport Hawker Centre
- Shop at IMM Outlet Mall
- Walk around Clark Quay, Old Hill Street Police Station
- Hong Lim Market & Food Centre
Day 6
- Breakfast at our airbnb
- Early morning shopping at Mustafa Centre (24-hour shopping mall)
- Check-in at Terminal 4
- Jewel Changi Airport - attractions direct entry to Manulife Sky Nets - Bouncing + Canopy Park (tickets via Klook). Highly recommend the bouncing net over walking
- Early dinner at Five Spice in Jewel
