Our visit London travel guide covers some of the top attractions including the best in arts, entertainment, museums, nightlife and restaurants in London. We also cover off-the-beaten-path activities that you won't find in your typical tourism brochure or London city guide.

50 Things to do in London Travel Guide | Top Attractions London City Guide Transcript:

So Hello from London! Time for a new destination. This is a city that I haven't visited in almost 4 years. So we're both very excited to be in London. And we're going to be making a little video guide. Actually a really big video guide because we plan on showing you 50 different things to do around London.

Our first stop was Trafalgar Square. This square leads to a lot of central attractions, so it's a nice place to people watch, get your bearings, and plan out where you want to go in the city.

The London Eye is a giant Ferris wheel on the South Bank of the Thames. It offers a bird's eye view of the city.

Buckingham Palace has served as the official London residence for Britain's sovereigns since 1837. The State Rooms at Buckingham Palace are open to visitors every year.

The Palace of Westminster, also known as the Houses of Parliament, is the meeting place of the House of Commons and the House of Lords. The Palace along with Big Ben are two of the top London attractions that dot the city-scape.

The Tower of London sits on the north bank of the River Thames.

And that's a wrap for London! Like with any mega city, it's impossible to cover all the sights and attractions you can enjoy here, but hopefully this video will give you an idea of what London has to offer.

This is part of our Travel in England series showcasing English culture, English foods, English cuisine and English people.

Noses of Soho - TOP 50 THINGS TO DO IN LONDON - London Guides

SUPPORT MY CHANNEL ON PATREON ➜
On the side of Admiralty Arch is a curious proboscis.
The soho noses are a bunch of noses poking out of walls dotted all over the west end of London in odd places. I'm not going to tell you where all of them are because you have to find them for yourself, and there's even one ear!
Become rich:
Legend has it that if you find all 7 of them you will become very rich indeed.
My favourite of the soho noses is the one on Admiralty arch because it was said that it was put there as a snub to Napoleon but the truth is that the soho noses are actually a work of art by Rick Buckley who wanted to make a statement about all the cctv cameras everywhere.

If you want to tweak the nose you have to be very careful because it's high up and you can get hit by a car.

York House Watergate - TOP 50 THINGS TO DO IN LONDON - London Guide

SUPPORT MY CHANNEL ON PATREON ➜
In this London Guide Joolz explains how the streets got their names and how the narrowing of the river caused York House Watergate to be isolated. Of Alley is a part of the name George Villiers Duke of Buckingham for example and there is also George Street, Villiers street and Duke Street.
York House Watergate was a part of a grand estate belonging to the Duke of Buckingham who was said to be the lover of King James and fictionalized by Alexandre Dumas in The Three Musketeers.
Joseph Bazalgette was assigned the task of narrowing the River Thames after the smells got so bad from the effluence that Parliament was disrupted.
The lovely thing about the street names is that you can still see a road which was formerly called Of Alley which may seem rather strange. This is because all the streets were named after George Villiers Duke of Buckingham, although some have now changed.
Find out more about Joseph Bazalgette and York House Watergate by watching Joolz Guides.

Temple Church - TOP 50 THINGS TO DO IN LONDON - London Guides

SUPPORT MY CHANNEL ON PATREON ➜
In this London Guide Joolz Guides visits The Temple Church.
Situated just off Fleet Street in an area called Temple Inn is on of London's most beautiful treasures. The Temple Church was built over 800 years ago for the famous order of the Knights Templar.
You might recognize the Temple Church from the film The Da Vinci Code where Tom Hanks comes with Audrey Tautou but in real life it has great significance regarding the signing of the Magna Carta.
Buried in the church are numerous Knights Templar, one of whom was William Marshal, the greatest Knight of his age. The Knights Templar were very rich and powerful people and it was he who ultimately saw to it that the Magna Carta got signed. You can see an efigy of him on the floor alongside other Knights Templar in the Temple Church.

Jazz at The Lamb and Flag - 50 THINGS TO DO IN LONDON - London Pub Guides

SUPPORT MY CHANNEL ON PATREON ➜
In this London guide, Joolz takes you to Jazz night at The Lamb and Flag,
On the first Sunday of every month The Lamb and Flag in Covent Garden has a fabulous jazz band in friendly surroundings which has made it one of Joolz's top 50 things to do in London since he first went there in 1996!
The lamb and flag is also Covent Garden's oldest pub with a fascinating history, licensed in the reign of Elizabeth 1st!
In the alley outside The Lamb and Flag John Dryden, the famous poet, was said to be set upon by thugs hired by the Earl of Rochester, John Wilmot, who was made famous by Johnny Depp in the film The Libertine.
The days of bare knuckle fist fighting are now over but The Lamb and Flag is a lovely place for a drink in the summer with its large open window, set back from the busy traffic.
The musicians on jazz night are of the highest quality and what is more it's free! A great place to make friends.
