2 WEEKS IN SYRIA ????????(not what you'd expect!)

► SUBSCRIBE for daily travel videos:

THE WAIT IS OVER AND I'M BEYOND EXCITED TO TELL YOU ABOUT THE LAST 2 WEEKS OF MY LIFE IN SYRIA - COUNTRY #183!

It was honestly the most inspiring and life-changing trip I've taken so far. I am so overwhelmed by the amazing people who welcomed me here -- you won't believe the stories that I'm about to share with you.

Ever since war began in Syria 2011, the media has ripped this country into pieces (not surprisingly) -- so I am going to do my best to show you the positive sides about Syrian people, culture, food and general life -- because trust me, there are A LOT of positives that are yet to be exposed to the outside world.

Can you guys sense how excited I am as I type this right now? It's unbelievable what I am feeling right now.

This first video is somewhat of an overview of everything I did in Syria. You can consider it as a 'teaser' for what's to come. I will be uploading daily videos as usual, but please note they will be delayed 14 days as I decided not to post live for safety reasons and so I could fully enjoy the trip without feeling pressure to upload.

I HOPE YOU ENJOY THESE SYRIA VIDEOS and please comment below with thoughts/comments/opinions about travel in Syria and I'll do my best to get back to you.

Follow @DrewBinsky right now on IG STORIES to watch my trip unfold behind the scenes!

SCARY TRAVEL STORIES (part 2)

Last year I made a video called My 3 Scariest Travel Stories, and I've decided to do a sequel because I've been in many scary situations since then which often go undocumented...

In this video, I tell you about 3 more terrifying stories that have happened to me in Afghanistan, Yemen and Libya.

Please note that these stories are based 100% off my own personal travel experiences. I DO NOT hate these countries -- in fact, it's just the opposite. When you travel to every country in the world, you're often going to be put in situations like these, and I feel like it's appropriate to share them with you.

What's your scariest travel story? Please share in the comments below!

Dakar, Senegal (My first day, a review & few things to add)

Senegal? Who goes to Senegal? We all should! I'm not a stranger to Africa but i haven't been too many places on the west coast. This was a first for me and as usual i jumped right in. From the beginning arriving in Dakar til the time i left everyone was pleasant & helpful. I stayed in an airbnb apartment in Dakar & went out to see the sights. This is part 1 of a short series.

Why He Turned MUSLIM (Sal Lavallo)

It's my pleasure to tell you the story of my friend, Sal Lavallo, who I actually met for the very first time yesterday in Dakar, Senegal (we've been Instagram Friends since 2014!)

At 27 years old, Sal was the youngest person to visit every single country in the world when he completed this goal in 2017. Thus, he's always been someone I looked up to in the travel space.

But this video is not only about his epic travels around the world -- it explains how he has transformed into a more complete, spiritual and well-rounded person primarily through converting to Islam back in 2013.

Just curious, has anyone else out there converted to Islam? Or any other religion for that matter? I would love to hear your thoughts!

Follow @DrewBinsky on IG Stories for live updates from our trip:

We travel with a Microsoft Surface everywhere we go. I edit my videos on it & use it to backup my pictures and vides while we travel. It’s light and the best travel laptop on the market in my opinion.

We use Sony Alpha series cameras to film our videos. They are compact so you don’t look like a super tourist when you take great pictures and videos while you travel.

We use Manfrotto Tripods. They are compact, travel well, and honestly I would not use another tripod for my nice cameras.

Travel Plug that works in pretty much any country & has four USB ports. A must for any traveler.

Want to grab some great gear? We have used Osprey Packs for years & swear by them. Check them out here

Need some clothing for your next adventure? Patagonia has some pretty good stuff for all kinds of travelers.

$10 in PANAMA - WHAT CAN YOU GET?

HELLO FROM PANAMA - my 191st country! That means I have only 6 left until I can say that I have visited every country in the world :D

Join me in my 36th episode of my $10 series to see how many things I can get in Panama City's vibrant district called Casco Viejo. To be honest, this city is A LOT more expensive than I imagined -- think New York prices -- so it was a bit of a challenge to find cheap things to buy.

But nonetheless, I had a blast making this video and I can't wait to tell you more stories about Panamanian food and culture over the next 4 days.

10 Wacky Things About TURKMENISTAN

► SUBSCRIBE for daily travel videos:
► INSTAGRAM?

It's been a wild several days in Turkmenistan. In my opinion, this is (by a long shot) the world's most bizarre country.

In this video, I explain the 10 strangest things that I find about Turkmen culture -- from the thousands of white-marble buildings to the shockingly empty streets, a massive fire crater in the desert that hasn't stopped burning for 50 years and the heavy censorship of the internet.

Turkmenistan is essentially the North Korea of Central Asia. Both capital cities of Pyongyang and Ashgabat feel eerily similar when walking around. The only major difference is that the people of North Korea are oppressed, whereas the people of Turkmenistan seem to be warm, friendly and hospitable.

Please share any thoughts/comments/questions about Turkmenistan and I'll be happy to answer!

Long Motorcycle trip - how much does it cost?

How much cost long Motorcycle trip? That was nice question. Is depends from many circumstances, but I will try to answer it. Stay with me until the end and I will give you some useful tips, how to travel as cheaper as possible. When the people meet us on the road, they always think that we are some kind of bored billionaires, looking for adventures. They are right, but only for the second part. Yes, we are looking for adventures, but the reality is that we work very hard to afford to travel with our motorcycles. We always plan our trips well, which give us a chance to calculate an estimate price. As I said, it is only estimate price, because you never know what is going to happens, but if everything is safe and secure, where the adventure will be? We have to have some balance, between smooth and safe journey and calculated risk.
