EPIC 48 Hour Guide to Paris ???????? ad

I traveled to Paris for the first time in YEARS and we'll you're coming along with me. In this 48 hour guide to Paris see some unique and off-the-beaten-path things to do in Paris, like a super unique way to see the Parisian sights, getting some gluten-free treats, see the inspiration for NYC's Highline, and discover the city's hidden bars with a Parisian.

Finally start to learn a language this year with our sponsor Lingoda, an online language school. Take small group classes online with native, qualified teachers and from the comfort of your home. They offer French (what I've been doing), Spanish, German, English and Business English. Do a FREE 7-day trial where you can try three group classes before you commit. And then when you're ready to dive into your language learning, use this link to get 30% off your marathon course or your first month of a monthly subscription:

What To Do In Paris: Guide to Unique Activities & Hidden Gems

In this Paris insider’s guide (a.ka. what to do in Paris), we show you four things not to miss in our 5 favorite categories: fashion, nightlife, books, food and art. This Paris guide is designed for folks who want something a little more off the beaten track; the kind of things locals love (yup we got a lot of help from madame Swank Z… our Paris insider).

Here’s what we cover:

Fashionista retail:
The Broken Arm
The legendary Galeries Lafayette
Paris’s historical covered passages, AKA galleries” or “arcades” where you’ll find boutique stores, bistros, and curated wine cellars
Running parallel to the Champs Elysees is Saint-Honoré where you’ll find Dominique Sirop, Chanel, Pierre Cardin, as well as the flagship stores of Lanvin and Hermès
Nightlife:
Pigalle neighborhood: La Fourmi café, hot music venues La Boule Noire and La Cigale are close by, as is the Trianon
Supersonic is the place for rock music fans
The edgy Villette neighborhood in the 19th: La Gare.
End your night at the Café Charbon in Oberkampf
Bookworms:
Books:
Try the bouquinistes by the Seine, these secondhand book stands on the riverside sidewalks have been there since the 16th century
For books in French, and a few in English, head to the Bouliner on Bonne Nouvelle.
For English language books, we love the Abbey Bookshop,a Canadian-owned store in the Latin Quarter
Finally, be sure to stop by the historical City of Paris library, some of the locations are architectural gems
Poetry: Maison de la Poesie is just around the corner from the Centre Pompidou, and puts on regular performances and social events.
The Pantheon: this Neoclassical megastructure is unmissable for its architecture alone - but go for the dead writers.
Bar Hemingway: this bar in back of the Ritz Hotel on the Place Vendôme is named after Ernest Hemingway
Foodies:
We're big fans of Parisian coffee roasters Belleville Brûlerie.
Ground Control Food Hall: Now let’s get to food. Hands down our favorite foodie destination
La Residence: this food stand offers dishes made by refugees to France, with African food particularly well-represented
Bastille Market, one of Paris's biggest street markets
Finish your foodie rampage at Stohrer, the oldest patisserie in Paris
Art:
Foundation Louis Vuitton:: Frank Gehry designed this stunning building situated in the Bois de Boulogne park
Maison Europeene De La Photo: This photography museum
Musee D’Art Moderne + Palais De Tokyo is a two-fer worth doing.
The Père-Lachaise cemetery is among the most famous burial grounds in France.

MORE INFO ABOUT THIS VIDEO ????
⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯
Paris is one of the most magical cities in the world! But man, it can be tough figuring out where to eat and drink like a local. It’s a city that is so popular with tourists - and that means there is an overwhelming choice of places and a fair few tourist traps to avoid!

So to celebrate our fantastic Ultimate Paris Food Tour I teamed up with our local Devour Paris expert Jess Timmins to take you to 11 places where to you can try some of the must-try tastes in this incredible city.

We focused our food tour in Le Marais district, which is a gorgeous historic part of Paris with lots of family-run business and beautiful winding streets, some of which are as they were centuries ago.

In this video we hit 11 establishments, lots of them family-run businesses. And many of them actual places we visit on our food tour.

So where did we go to eat the best food in Le Marais... and what did we try?

1. Caractère de Cochon - Paris’ best jambon-buerre sandwhich
2. Jean-Paul Hévin - Paris' best macarons and chocolate
3. Tout Autour du Pain - mind-blowing croissant and pain au chocolate
4. Grand Cafe Tortoni - gorgeous coffee shop!
5. Poilâne - famous bakery and French bread how it used to be made
6. Chez Alain Miam Miam - an incredible galette au beurre salé
7. Au Petit Fer a Cheval - pastis for a little aperitif
8. A La Villa de Rodez - a selection of delicious French cheeses and cured meats (saucission)
9. Les Philosophes - lovely bistro for excellent steak tartare and French onion soup
10. L’as du Fellafel - Paris’ best falafel, in the Jewish Quarter
11. L’Etiquette - a fabulous little wine shop (where you can also drink wine by the glass)

WHO ARE WE? ????

36 Hours in Paris | Backpacking Paris Travel Guide

Welcome to my 36 hours in Paris travel guide where I'll be showing you how you can best spend one to two days exploring all the best things and sights in this city. In this film I'll be taking in the best sunset views of the city, eating the famous Parisian food and taking in the Sacre Couer, Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, the Louvre and Arc de Triomphe.

Paris is easily accessible from most of Europe and it really doesn't have to be an expensive visit. It might be huge but most of the main sights and things to do are walkable within a day or two, and you don't need to stay at the expensive hotels. This is the 8th time I've visited this city so I know all the tips and best walking routes.

So join me on this snapshot visit and you'll see why Paris is one of my favourite cities and one of the most beautiful in the world, all on an affordable budget.

WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU'VE ALREADY BEEN TO PARIS (FOOD TRAVEL GUIDE)

My ALTERNATIVE GUIDE TO PARIS! Already been to Paris? Seen all the sights? Going back for the food? I got you! ???????? This is NOT your typical Paris guide. We’re talking less sightseeing, more eating! If you're like me and you’re looking for some of the best food in Paris, grab a bottle of wine (seriously) and keep watching! You're going to Paris to eat right? ???????? ????

“Most of us are lucky to see Paris once in a lifetime. Please, make the most of it by doing as little as possible. Walk a little. Get lost a bit. Eat. Catch a breakfast buzz. Have a nap. Try and have sex if you can, just not with a mime. Eat again. Lounge around drinking coffee. Maybe read a book. Drink some wine. Eat. Repeat. See? It's easy.
