11 Expats share their most Challenging & most Positive Experiences of Living in Dominican Republic

The Dominican Republic attracts expats from all over the world, for both vacation and relocation reasons. Apart from the nice tropical ambiance and paradise living, many expats face quite a few challenges here, and this can sometimes make their paradise look a bit dimmer OR if they learn from these challenges, it can make them wiser and happier people in the end of the day. In this video, I'll interview a few long-term expats who will share both their most challenging and their most positive experiences - So Let's get started!

Low Budget Living on the North Coast Dominican Republic

The Dominican Republic is quite unique, as it offers you the opportunity to live many different types of lifestyles, depending on your needs and your budget. Basically Here you can live on a budget of $2000+ a month per person AND you can live on $500 to $1000 a month based on your preferences in accommodation, food, mode of transportation, and your choices when shopping. Regardless, both options give you full access to beaches, rivers, and the tropical beauties of the country. Just take your pick on just how sophisticated you want to be with your lifestyle here. In this video, I'll show a way to live a very modest, low-budget lifestyle. Let's begin!

???????? Dating In Dominican Republic: What city to find a wife?

Dating In Dominican Republic

The Dominican Republic is a tropical paradise with tons of beaches, amazing nightlife and of course beautiful women.

Women from the Dominican Republic attract lots of attention with their unique mix of African, European and Latin blood. Most Dominican women are brown skinned, slender, dark hair, dark eyes and a petite yet curvy body.

You’ll find some of the sexiest women on the planet in the DR and it’s one big reason why this country attracts men from all over the planet.

Dominican women are not only physically beautiful, but come from a rich Latin culture that expects women to be excellent wives, caring mothers, great cooks and extremely supportive of their husband.

So what city in Dominican Republic should I pick to find a wife?

How to Rent and Buy a Car, Motorbike, or Scooter in the Dominican Republic | Full Guide

In this video, I will explain how you should go about renting or buying a vehicle (cars, motorbikes, scooters) in the Dominican Republic. Driving rules and regulations, places to shop, do's and don't's of the rental and buying process, and I will give you a few handy contacts. Enjoy!:-)

Renting a car for exploring all of DR is definitely the way to go, however, it is still a good idea to rent a vehicle even if you just want to explore one region, such as Puerto Plata and surrounding towns, Punta Cana, Samaná, or Barahona, as this way you can explore both coastlines, countryside, and hilly areas...

The Beauty and Diversity of the Dominican Republic - Nature at its finest

Enjoy a fascinating journey around the Dominican Republic to explore the beauty and diversity of this Caribbean country!

The Dominican Republic is known to have the most diverse topography for a single nation in the Caribbean region. You can go from a sandy beach to a cool, mountainous town 500 meters above sea level in less than three hours. The country’s coastline is over 1,600 kilometers in total, with hundreds of accessible, breathtaking beaches. More surprisingly, DR is surrounded by a series of grand mountain ranges, the most important of which is the Cordillera Central, which is home to the Caribbean’s highest peak - Pico Duarte, sitting at 3,087 meters.

5 Travel Tips for the Dominican Republic

#dominicanrepublic #traveltips #caribbean

Having been in the Dominican Republic for 6 weeks, there are a handful of tips that I would have found incredibly helpful before arriving in Santo Domingo (and travelling to Cabarete on the North Coast).

They are admittedly from anecdotal experience. However, I am not the only person to have had these issues in the Dominican Republic.

A quick summary of my travel tips for the DR:

Tip 1: At the airport, get to customs as quickly as possible.

Tip 2: Electronics are temperamental. Some devices work, some don't. Some charge, some don't. Even when using different chargers!

Tip 3: Wear mosquito repellent, straight away. There are a lot of mosquitos in the Dominican Republic.

Tip 4: Bring a good raincoat. It might not rain when you're here, but if it does, you'll be thankful you have a good waterproof in a tropical thunderstorm.

Tip 5: Transport options are harder than in other places (like South East Asia).

Bonus tip: If you suffer from Hayfever or allergies, it cane particularly bad in the DR!

Hopefully these tips are useful if you're looking to travel to the Dominican Republic either for holiday (vacation) or for a longer stay.

All shot on a GoPro Hero 8 Black.
