36 Hours in Mexico City & Teotihuacan

Mexico City is a pretty solid candidate for the city of the 21st century. It's the perfect mix of the old and the new: the crazy mix of beautiful colonial, modern, and Mayan architecture, a ridiculous music scene, some of the best food on the planet, and countless quirky and weird subcultures all combine into a truly modern world city.

We went to Mexico City to catch what it's all about on film, and what we found was one of the most vibrant, alive cities we've ever been to. Give it a watch. Or, better yet: go see it for yourself.

GOJOGO 36 - A Day Trip to Taos

On the trail of Santa Fe: New Mexico’s cultural melting pot

36 hours in Mexico City!!! | TRAVEL VLOG #5

Many people think that you can't properly travel and explore a new city in just one weekend. Naive little ones, I say. In my opinion, one can learn so much about a new site in such a short amount of time since there are time restrictions that force you to be proactive and actually follow your itinerary. Of course, the point of traveling shouldn't be to stress but rather enjoy yourself. This is why I think it's important to plan an itinerary in advance and set realistic goals of what you can and can't do to still get as much done as possible.

In this video, I share how I explore Mexico City in 36 hours and visit some of the cities most important sites, but also some lesser known gems worth visiting. I surprised myself as I was able to check off all of the things from my list and even add some more! Even though I was on a mission to see each site, I also took time to appreciate the art, food, architecture, culture, and overall privilege I had to travel to a different country.

Here's my itinerary for visiting Mexico City in 36 hours:

Saturday:
1. Tlatelolco
2. Sor Juana Cloister
3. San Jerónimo Street
4. Isabel la Católica Street
5. Francisco I. Madero Street
6. Metropolitan Cathedral (bell tower tour)
7. National Palace
8. Sombreros Tardan (hat shop)
9. Iturbide Palace
10. 5 de Mayo Ave.
11. Tacuba Street
12. Santo Domingo Portals
13. San Ildefonso College
14. Zócalo

Sunday
- Grand Hotel of Mexico City
- Mexico City Museum (1pm free tour)
- Hospital of Jesus of Nazarene
- Wings of the city
- National Museum of Anthropology
- La Ciudadela Handicraft Market
- Chapultepec
- Palace of Bellas Artes

Santa Fe, New Mexico is epic. Should we live in Santa Fe fulltime?

Here's what you should know about Santa Fe and Meow Wolf. We consider moving here permanently as well as share some of our favorite spots: the good stuff, second street brewery, Harry’s restaurant, the pantry and more!

La Choza Restaurant in Santa Fe New Mexico

Located in the old adobe headquarters of turn of the century Mercer Ranch, La Choza offers Northern New Mexican food and hospitality as authentic as the home itself. The locals' choice for chile... La Choza is truly Santa Fe dining that reflects the heritage of past
& present and is the sister restaurant to another locals' favorite, The Shed.

La Choza serves lunch 11:00 - 2:30, & dinner 5:00 - 9:00 Monday thru Saturday or enjoy cocktails in our full bar!

New Mexico part 2 Santa Fe and Taos:

travel videos & photos at: with text, maps & links.
After breakfast at the Burrito Company, we visit Bandelier National Monument and admire the well-preserved pueblo cliff dwellings abandoned by the natives centuries ago. Then we drive to Taos and visit the main plaza, enjoy some wine tasting and settle in to the Taos Inn in the heart of town, easy walking distance to the attractions. The ski slopes in Taos offer trails for all levels, including our beginner attempts, which were so much fun we went back a second day.
