PRE TRAVEL DAY ???????? LPL to DUB ✈️ | Flying from Liverpool & Spending 36 Hours in Dublin ????

Welcome to our brand new series of travel vlogs! Join Cat and Dean on their pre-travel day flying from Liverpool John Lennon Airport to Dublin Airport with good old RyanAir for a 36 hour layover in Ireland before we head to Canada! ????????

We travelled from our local airport on a Friday evening flight, arriving early to an unexpectedly very empty LPL airport. Our flight was also delayed so we killed some time in the airport with a meal at the Kissing Gate and mooching in the shops. After finally arriving in Dublin at midnight and a delay with our taxi transfer we were desperate to get to our hotel and get to bed! We stayed in the Maldron Hotel in the city centre.

Having already visited Dublin once before, we opted to chill out the next day and headed for a little explore along the River Liffey and around the Temple Bar area to soak up the Saturday Night atmosphere before heading for food at the Hard Rock Cafe... which turned out to be the most expensive Hard Rock we've ever visited!

We hope you enjoy coming along on our pre-travel day and we hope you're excited for the content to come from one of the most beautiful places I've ever been... Banff National Park in Alberta, Canada!

Dublin - Quck Travel Guide

Dublin is located centrally on the eastern coast of Ireland and is split from north to south by the Liffey river. The primary language is English and the currency is the Euro. Dublin is 6 hours 45 minutes by air from New York City, 8 hours from Atlanta and 1 hour 20 minutes from London.

High season is July to August with an high temperature of 64 degrees. Low season is November to March where the average high is 48.

Dublin International Airport is 6 miles (10km) from the city center and is quickest by taxi or car. The Aircoach bus service is the cheapest ( There is no subway or rail from the airport.

Once in the city center, Dublin is easily walkable. Taxi, bus, light rail and rental bikes are all viable options to navigate city streets. But most just walk.

Popular sites to see are the Dublin castle, Spire of Dublin Guinness StoreHouse and the National Museum of Ireland, which is free to visitors. There is a vibrant nightlife and many pubs, especially in the Temple Bar area.

The drinking age in Dublin is 18, Don't order an Irish Car Bomb or a Black & Tan, both drinks are based on Irish tragedies. Drinking is not allowed on the streets or parks. Guinness does tastes better in Dublin.
