25 TOURIST ATTRACTIONS IN PALAWAN | Palawan Philippines Best Places To Visit
When you hear Palawan, you'll immediately think of white powdery sand, beautiful beaches and scenic islands.
In today's video, we'll be exploring the magnificent islands of Palawan and some of its spectacular tourist destinations.
Being the largest province in the country in terms of land area, Palawan is home to roughly 1,780 islands and islets, and is blessed with some of the most beautiful beaches in the world.
In fact, Palawan in the Philippines has been recognised several times as the best island in the world by international based travel magazines.
This is no surprise since Palawan is rich in natural beauty.
Its landscapes and scenery are breathtaking and it offers the most stunning beaches and resorts.
The islands of Palawan might not be the easiest to reach, but it's absolutely one of the best places to explore.
Palawan is accessible via sea and air travel. You can take the ferry from Manila going to Palawan which has around 24 hours travel time or just an hour and 30 minutes direct flight from Manila to Palawan.

I went around to many islands in the Philippines over the span of my three trips to the country. I have put together a list of the top places in the Philippines for you to visit and even research. Philippines tourism appears to be back to normal and these tourist spots are thriving again. I really enjoyed Palawan and many would say that is the best place in the Philippines, with El Nido and Coron being the top places there. I also felt Siargao was a special place to visit for its diversity in activities to do. Boracay seemed to be the most popular tourist destination in Philippines. We flew to Palawan and visited one of the 7 Natural Wonders of the World: the Underground River. There we stayed on the beach in Puerto Princesa and took you on a tour through the tropical rainforest, the mangrove forests, the open sea and the underground river.
We make our trip through the Philippines during a world tour of one and a half years. We may even continue to travel indefinitely. On New Year's Day we started in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, the Canary Islands. Then you saw us in Oman, Cape Verde, Martinique, Saint Lucia, Tobago, Grenada, the Bahamas, the United States, Mexico, Ecuador, the Galapagos Islands, Brazil, Qatar, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia and Australia. Kayangan Lake is probably one of Coron’s most famous attractions. This pristine body of water is surrounded by a thick mangrove forest that provides a habitat for flamingos and other migratory birds. Visitors can also check out coral reefs, an underwater observatory, and even snorkel around. The lake itself is home to many endemic species, including eels, crabs, and shrimp. Malcapuya Island No. 4
Malcapuya Island is located off of Coron Island, which is one of three big islands that make up Northern Palawan. The island is relatively small and unpopulated, with an area of 6.5 hectares and a circumference of 800 meters. Malcapuya Island has long been known for its white sand beach surrounded by clear blue waters. It’s home to a variety of tropical fish that are commonly found in other oceanic waters, like sharks, rays, eels, and barracudas.
Twin Lagoon No. 3
Twin Lagoons (aka Twin Lagoons) is a MUST SEE when you’re visiting Coron. The turquoise lagoon looks like a scene from a movie set, and it’s very easy to access—it’s just a few minutes' walk from White Beach. There are picnic huts on the beach where you can enjoy your lunch and even stay overnight! The views of the sunset at Twin Lagoon are absolutely breathtaking.
Sunken Japanese Wrecks No. 2
The Pacific Ocean is home to many sunken wrecks from World War II. One of them is just a few miles off Northern Palawan’s coast—the Ryou-Un Maru and her 60 crewmen still rest there. The ship was bombed by American planes after being discovered by a submarine chaser on December 8, 1944. It lies at a depth of around 100 feet (30 meters), and diving it requires advanced certification and training.
Calauit Safari Park is ranked first.
Established in 1968 as a private game refuge and animal farm, Calauit Safari Park has now become one of Mindoro’s main tourist destinations. It is also known as the home of about half of all Philippine carabaos (water buffaloes). Known for its beautiful scenery and lush vegetation, most visitors are just going to stop by because it's on their way from Manila down south, but there's actually some cool stuff here.
