Campingtrips mit dem Wohnwagen stehen absolut im Trend und sind eine spannende Urlaubsalternative. Den Traum vom eigenen Mini-Wohnwagen will sich auch unser junges Paar aus Moers erfüllen: Mit Mitte zwanzig stehen Rabea und Yannik schon mit beiden Beinen im Leben. Gemeinsam mit Hündin Maja leben sie im Einfamilienhaus, haben einen Garten und zwei Vollzeitjobs, mit denen sie alle Hände voll zu tun haben.
Rabea ist als onkologische Fachkrankenschwester im Schichtdienst gewohnt, richtig anzupacken. Auch Yanniks Alltag ist durchgetaktet. Neben seiner 40-Stunden-Woche studiert er noch. Entsprechend kostbar sind beiden die seltenen gemeinsamen Auszeiten.
Rabea fährt einen Fiat 500 und der kann nur einen Mikro-Wohnwagen ziehen. Größe, Gewicht und Stützlast müssen passen. Viele passende Modelle gibt es nicht, die alle Kriterien erfüllen. Ein alter Wohnwagen aus der DDR ist klein genug. Nur ist der schon über 30 Jahre alt. Der perfekte Wagen, um sich kreativ auszutoben? Oder eine ewige Baustelle? Die 24-Jährige steckt voller Ideen, um den Wohnwagen stylisch und gemütlich aufzuhübschen.
