We’re Marianne & Chris, a happily married couple from the UK. Marianne is a living kidney donor to her best friend, and realising that life was for living and never really knowing what’s round the corner - we decided to fulfil our dream of travelling full time.
So in March 2018 after the kids had left home, we sold our belongings, rented our house and moved into our campervan called Trudy. We set off to see the world and after vanlifing around Ireland and Europe, we grabbed our backpacks and spent 5 months exploring Central America.
Feeling like we needed a challenge, we planned the ultimate van life adventure! In Jan 2020 set off to drive around the World from UK to UK. But after arriving in Turkey, covid caught up with us and closed the borders, so we had a wonderful 18 months exploring this special country. Realising we were not going to be able to head further East, we decided to do a handbrake turn and go the other way and shipped our van to the USA.
We hope you enjoy coming with us, and we’ll continue to share our real adventures and hope you feel inspire to step out of your comfort zone and try something new.

The world's largest gas station is dominated by Buc-ees. This 66,335-square-foot monster is located in New Braunfels, Texas. Don't be confused, Buc-ee's is a gas station, not a truck stop!
This Buc-ee's home to 120 gas pumps, 83 toilet stalls, and 64 ice freezers. Don't worry it gets better, we are breaking the news in this video! Buc-ee's is building a newer, bigger, and better world's largest gas station. Watch out RV life!!

Buc-ee's - The Largest Gas Station in America...and the coolest!
After spending a wonderful evening in Texas and meeting all the great people and enjoying the great BBQ at The Saltlick over in Drifwood, it was time to head back
It is a long drive and while I'm all fuelled up, the car on the other hand, was running on empty. Time to fuel up and wouldn't you know it, getting gas in Texas is an adventure all in itself ... especially when you happen to stop by at the largest gas station in America, Buc-ee's
Upon pulling up, it was a sight to behold, endless rows of gas pumps, but it gets better! Inside Bucee's, there were endless isles of convenience foods at their finest: chips, sodas, doughnuts, and yes, those Beaver Nuggets. Craving something warm, delicious smoked brisket and mountains of pulled pork awaits the weary traveler...and every once in a while, one hears the triumphant declaration of Brisket on the Board, signalling more delectable sandwiches to come. Gas station food at its finest, and once again, things are simply bigger in Texas!
