Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the #travel bug! We started “travel hacking” & finally decided we wanted to go travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this #travelvlog to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling, and we didn’t want to stop after just one year! After achieving our new goal of 100 countries and then all 7 continents (check out our documentary here: we had no plans to slow down, until 2020 decided to force us to ;) which is when we bought a converted Sprinter van to start exploring our own country for the first time. #Vanlife was a major adjustment and so different than flying every week like we were used to, but we are incredibly thankful to be able to continue doing something we love every day. ????????????

We spend 24 hours at the World's Largest Truck Stop. As we were driving down I-80 we saw a sign for the world's largest truck stop and we just new we had to stop and check it out! Little did we know that this truck stop featured a barber shop, dentist, multiple places to eat, shopping and more! The world's largest truck stop is 3 stories tall and we were shocked how much we enjoyed spending 24 hours here!

Hi, I'm Amber and in May 2017 I started full time RV living. I started this nomadic journey after selling my house and all my belongings to pursue this crazy dream of traveling full time in an RV and creating incredible memories.
After 1 year of traveling, I sold my 26 foot Winnebago Class C RV for a more nimble Class B van on a Promaster 2500 chassis. Now in my 5th year of RVing in my camper van, I'm still loving this RV lifestyle and being a digital nomad. I almost always boondock in nature and really enjoy that off grid living.

Along our long drive from Ohio to Washington, we stopped at the World’s Largest Truck Stop!
Iowa 80 might not look like much on the outside at first but it is full of services and amenities and of course the basics of what you might need. There’s a barber shop, chiropractor, a shop for custom apparel, a pet washing station, laundry facility, movie, theater, library, workout room, 24 hour restaurant and more. And with it being dog friendly, it’s a great place to get out and wander around.

World's Largest Truck Stop in Walcott, Iowa
IF YOU BOUGHT IT, THEN A TRUCK BROUGHT IT! WITHOUT TRUCKS, AMERICA STOPS! Remember those phrases when you're driving around trucks. This is the world's largest truck stop. It's called the Iowa 80 in Walcott, IA on Interstate 80 at exit 284. In the main building, there's a full service sitdown restaraunt called the Iowa 80 Kitchen as well as a food court containing a Wendys, Dairy Queen, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, and a Orange Julius. Next there is a large convienience store and a fairly large gift shop. Then there is the 32,000 square foot Chrome Shop with a tractor trailer and two bobtails inside. Upstairs is largely for the Professional Truck Drivers. This contains 23 private showers, a Dentist, Barber Shop, Chiropractor, large theater, TV room, laundromatt, and several meeting rooms for the employees. in the lot are enough parking spaces for 800 trucks, two diesel islands pumping TA fuel, a Truck O Mat truck wash with two wash bays and a trailer washout bay as well as a Dog O Mat pet wash station close by. Then there's a ten bay garage staffed with TA mechanics, all of this is open 24 hours a day seven days a week. Last, but not least is the corperate offices for the Iowa 80 Group (owners of several other truck stops as well as theis one) ,CAT Scale Co, and the Truck O Mat truck wash Co. Next to that is the Iowa 80 Trucking Museum which wasn't open when I was there that day.
