TRAVELING ACROSS TURKEY in 7 DAYS (epic road trip)

Sign up for my FREE book preview & you'll receive 3 crazy stories from my adventures to EVERY COUNTRY in the world. Check it out:

This is the last video in my Turkey series! This was such a beautiful trip and I'm so glad I got to share the adventures with you. Cappadocia ended up being the highlight of our trip for me, it definitely lived but to the hype and might be the most photogenic place in the world. I could have spent a whole month there without running out of things to do and see.

We started this road trip in Fethiye. We drove from the coast to the cotton castles of Pammukale, along the shores of Lake Salda, through the narrow streets of Antalya & all the way to the mysterious caves of Cappadocia.

Is travelling solo safe? - I would argue the answer is almost always yes! As long as you use your common sense and you follow your own government's guidelines about travelling in that country. I have made several videos on backpacking safety on my channel.
Do you have plans to settle down? Yes, I'm currently saving to purchase my first property in the UK and I'd love to have children one day. I doubt I'll ever live a completely 'conventional' lifestyle by society's standards though, as I often have my own preferred way of doing things.

If you've never heard of a Turkish Bath before, then prepare yourself for what you're about to see! Truth be told - I've never felt cleaner before in my life... but the process of getting clean is beyond intimidating.

My first time doing a Turkish Bath was in 2012 in Istanbul, and all I can remember is an old, hairy Turkish man scrubbing down every millimeter of my body with sandpaper and soap...

I decided to do it again here in the Southeastern Turkish city of Mardin, and document the entire process so you can see what it's like from first-hand experience.

If you ever find yourself in Turkey, I highly suggest giving a Turkish Bath a try!

Enjoy Part 8 of our 8500 kilometer off-road trip from Greece to the Caucasus in Georgia and back. At the End of Mai 2022 we loaded the 2 Yamaha Tenere 700 in a van and drove from Potsdam (Germany) 2200 kilometer to Alexandropoli in Greece, where we stored the van and started our epic motorcycle adventure. Our goal was to ride the entire TET Turkey and two new sections that has never done before. A 4500 kilometer stretch and a big challenge on loaded Tenere 700s.

Part 8 shows you the days 28 to 34 of the trip and some of the most beautiful mountain ranges in Turkey:
We made our way from the border of Georgia into the Pontic Alps, were we tried to fullfil our goal to ride 100% of the Trans Euro Trail Turkey. On our way to Georgia the high mountains in Turkey were still blocked by snow. But on the way back to Greece was a bigger chance that the trails in the Kackar mountains and the area aroud the famous D915 will be accesable. So let's see...

CHEAPEST VS MOST EXPENSIVE KEBAB IN TURKEY

This is my 2nd YouTube channel, if you don't already subscribe to my main channel, you can check it out here:

It’s so good to be back in one of my favorite countries - TURKEY! I’m here with my parents (for their first time) as well as my local friend Anil. We visited both culinary capitals of Antakya and Gaziantep to seek out the CHEAPEST kebab ($1.20) vs the MOST EXPENSIVE kebab ($30).

Which one do you think was better? I vote cheap all the way!

The moral of the story is that travel doesn’t have to be expensive ????

Turkish Highlands | Hidden beauty of Turkey

Northern Turkey is magical. Just an hour's drive can take you from The town on the Black sea coast to the Turkish highlands which are a place of hidden beauty and mystery. This time we drive inland from a beautiful Kaptanpaşa village near Rize and discover some of the most amazing landscapes that we have ever seen.

We have been in Turkey for three months now, living the van life.
Our journey here is documented in a travel vlog format.
New videos are out every Monday and Thursday evening.

We wholeheartedly want to thank Adil who has been an absolute superstar, making sure that we are not scaring our Turkish viewers away with a problematic auto-translation function. Thank you Adil for doing the Turkish subtitles for us!

WHO WE ARE:
We are a van life couple Jo and Miina, quite new to YouTube but really excited to be a part of this community. We are about living small and sustainable in our home on wheels. Freyja is a Merzedes Sprinter van that we have converted into a lovely tiny home on wheels. We love the diversity that our lifestyle brings and we want to take you along with us! Follow us as we continue our travels, through Europe and beyond.

VANLIFE in Turkey | Our First Impressions | Road Trip

We are finally getting into the swing of things in Turkey, getting used to the cuisine, the prices and the dogs. We even meet some fellow vanlifers & YouTubers on the road (Courts & Meeks and John & Mandy) so loved a wee convoy with them across the water from Eceabat to Cannakule. We officially made it to mainland Turkey and can't believe our little home on wheels has brought us this far!

⤈ WHO WE ARE ⤈
We are Philly and Keely and we live full time in our tiny home on wheels Martha. After building our DIY home in a Citroen Relay camper we spent a year living on the streets of London before quitting our jobs only to be met with lockdown. So after waiting for six months for the borders to reopen in Ireland we have finally hit the road in June 2021 and spent 90 days enjoying vanlife in Spain. Then we spent the next two months enjoying vanlife in Croatia before heading onto Serbia which we loved, and now made it all the way to TURKEY.
