Traveling to Hawaii and trying to figure out what the current Hawaii travel restrictions are? Well I got you! With things constantly changing you want to be sure you are staying up to date by visting On this site you will be able to find out who, when, and where you can take the required Covid-19 test in order to enter Hawaii without having to self quarantine for 10 days.
The state of Hawaii has very specific requirements when it comes to the type of Covid test that you need to take. They also only allow the test to be conducted by a trusted partner so what does that mean? It means you have to choose a provider from the trusted partners list which can be found on the Safe Travels website. In this video I will walk you step by step showing you how to create an account, where you can take the test, and most importantly how to get all your documents uploaded and process in time to catch your flight to the beautiful state of Hawaii. 2021 Travel Restrictions are always changing so I advise you to check out the state travel site before you book your trip and be in the know of all the state requirments as things may be very different in your home state/country. This is your Hawaii update
If you're traveling to Hawaii soon, here are a few things you need to know regarding the Hawaii travel restrictions to Hawaii. On July 8th, the Governor of Hawaii lifted one of the travel restrictions. Anybody coming from mainland United States who is vaccinated, is not required to get tested prior to arriving to Hawaii. Visit the safe travels hawaii website
Hawaii is now at a 60% threshold, the next benchmark that needs to be met will be the 70% mark which would completely lift all travel restriction upon entering in Hawaii and go back to a pre pandemic lifestyle. This mark should be met sometime around mid September based on whether or not they encounter any issues along the way. You still need to go on the Hawaii safe travels website to upload your proof of vaccination card and still take the hard copy card with you on your travels.

Hawaii Travel Restrictions 2022 - Updates
In this video, I have shared about Hawaii Travel Restrictions 2022. If you are planning for a Hawaii 2022 Journey then you need to take care of these rules.
As to prevent the spread of pandemics in Hawaii, the states have some rules.
To visit Hawaii and bypass quarantine you need to signup for a Hawaii Safe Travels account. Where you either have to upload your vaccination card or a negative covid test report 72 hours prior to your journey.
And tests are only accepted from Hawaii Travel Partners.
Till 2021 there was a mandatory quarantine of 10 days which as per the update of January 2022 has changed to 5 Days.
And if you are an international traveler then you need to show proof of vaccination which is accepted by the US Gov as well as a Covid negative report taken no more than 24 hours before your entry.
Apart form that Maui will consider people with booster shots as Vaccinated.
And consider airlines that provide Hawaii PreClear otherwise you may have to stand for hours in the line at the Hawaii Airport.

If you're traveling to Hawaii soon before June 15th and are island hopping, this video pertains to you!
Hawaii Governor David Ige to ease travel restrictions starting June 15 once Hawaii reaches a 55% vaccination rate amongst its citizens. At a 70% vaccination rate Hawaii will remove the mask mandate and travel restrictions!
Make sure to visit travel.hawaii.gov and create an account with your test results uploaded within 72 hours prior to your arrival on hawaii.
**If you don’t have medical insurance, you can get a free COVID test at any CVS or Walgreens by clicking here and scheduling a test:

**If you do have insurance, present your card wherever you get your test done whether it’s CVS, Walgreens or any other site. It’s not guaranteed your insurance will be accepted at sites other than the retail pharmacies but it’s worth a try.

This video is about Hawaii Travel Requirements in 2021 and July Update on Hawaii testing 72 hours.
So if you are planning to travel to Hawaii after the 8th Of July 2021 then Yay! with the latest updates fully vaccinated travellers from the mainland are exempted from pre-travel testing.
You have to upload the CDC vaccination card to your Safe Travels account and carry it with you.
Interisland hopping is now free from pre-travel testing. And whenever they will reach 70% vaccination the whole safe travels program will be scrapped.
If you are not vaccinated, then you will require a COVID -ve report. And Tests are specific (NAAT) tests and only are accepted from Hawaii Trusted Travel Partners whose list you can check from the link.

From 25 March 2022 Hawaii had scrapped out Safe Travels Hawaii program. As they have reached more than 75 % of fully vaccination status so the program is no more.
Thus you can easily visit Hawaii as a domestic traveler. However if you are entering Hawaii outside of US, then you will have some restrictions such as a negative report and fully vaccinated status.
Overall you will be enjoying your travel in Hawaii.

Hawaii Travel Restrictions (Current Hawaii Mandates) September 2021 Update
In this video I had talked about Hawaii Travel Restrictions and current Hawaii Mandates in the update of September 2021.
Since the last 3 weeks Governor Ige had requested travelers not to visit Hawaii. Because of the surge of Delta Variant cases the medical facilities are highly under pressure.
So to control the situation Governor had imposed some fresh restrictions to avoid lockdown in Hawaii.
According to new rules Restaurants have to operate in 50 % capacity. Public gathering are limited to 10 people inside and 25 people outside.
Wedding and concerts had been cancelled. According to doctor Wong, there are a lot of people affected by delta variant.
So its advisable to avoid Hawaii as your next travel destination. However if you still choose to enter Hawaii then you have to signup for Hawaii Safe Travels Program.
If vaccinated, then you have to upload the certificate to the safe travels program and also have to carry it with yourself. Or you have to show covid negative test report 72 hours before entering Hawaii.
And they only accept the NAAT test from their Trusted traveling partners.

And from September 13 they are applying Vaccine Passport also known as Safe Access program where you will have to show your vaccination proof or negative report test taken 42 hours before entering Gym, Restaurants and clubs.
