Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, South Sudan, Burundi and Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) form the East African Community. The presidents of these countries live in well protected residences called State houses or Flag houses or Presidential palaces.
This video contains a list of the seven east African presidents and their state houses.
Some of these statehouses such as the State house of Kenya, currently occupied by the newly elected president of Kenya, President William Ruto, were Built by the colonialists during the colonial era. However some of them are still new or under construction like the Chamwino state house in Dodoma that was recently completed. The construction of the Chamwino statehouse was necessitated by the shifting of the Tanzania's capital from Dar es Salaam to Dodoma. The State house is expected to be Opened by the Current president of Tanzania, Samia Suluhu Hassan.

The absolutely beautiful Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi serves as the Presidential palace of the United Arab Emirates.
The moment the doors open and you enter to the Great Hall, you are instantly hit with the contemporary design built in the traditional Arabian style. The amount of detail on every corner is something to stop and admire.
In 2019, UAE's rulers decided to open the palace to the public, where you can explore its architectural beauty. Before it opened to the public, the Qasr Al Watan presidential palace was used only for official purposes, hosting foreign leaders and meetings. The majestic palace is still being used for the country's supreme council and the federal cabinet.
The Great Hall's main feature is the central dome, which stands 60 meters above ground and is one of the largest domes in the world.
The Qasr Al Watan facade is made of granite and limestone with detailed decoration. It is estimated that the beautiful building took over 150 Million man-hours to build.
When you walk around the stunning Qasr Al Watan, you know you are in one of the most opulent spaces you will ever visit in your lifetime. The combination of traditional Arab styles and contemporary decor is truly astonishing.
Abu Dhabi and #UnitedArabEmirates continue growing as a top global destination, and this palace is undoubtedly becoming one of Abu Dhabi’s top attractions.
Outside of the main halls, you can't miss a huge gold sculpture that we found to be very unique and beautiful, also a great spot for taking amazing photos. Mattar Bin Lahej designed the Sculpture with a beautiful Arabic script that spells a quote by Sheikh Zayen bin Sultan Al Nahyan that describes that wealth is in the people, not oil.
One of the most interesting parts of the Qasr Al Watan Presidential Palace is the two halls of the House of Knowledge. These halls are filled with artifacts and manuscripts on display that show the Arab contribution to the world.

The title of the “world’s largest palace” is difficult to award, and controversial, as different countries use different standards to claim that their palace is the largest in the world. The title of “world’s largest palace by area enclosed within the palace’s fortified walls” is held by China’s Forbidden City complex in Beijing, which covers an area of 728,000 square meters (180 acres). The 980 buildings of the Forbidden City have a combined floor space of 1,614,600 square feet (150,001 m2) and contain 9,999 rooms (the ancient Chinese believed the god Yù Huáng had 10,000 rooms in his palace; so they constructed an earthly palace to have 9,999 and a half rooms, slightly fewer than in the divine palace, out of respect).
The world’s largest palace by both floor space and volume is the Palace of the Parliament in Bucharest, Romania, which was built by communist dictator Nicolae Ceaușescu in 1986. It has a floor space of 330,000 sq m and a volume of 2,550,000 m3. It is also the most expensive administrative building and heaviest building. The “world’s largest royal palace by floor space” is the Royal Palace of Madrid in Spain, with 135,000 square metres (1,450,000 sq ft) of floor space and containing 3,418 rooms.

To celebrate the heritage of the country, Sheikhs Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan (Ruler of Abu Dhabi and President of the United Arab Emirates) and Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan (Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces) decided to open the palace to the public in 2019. Prior to its opening, the palace was used only for official purposes, Mainly hosting foreign leaders of states, and for meetings of the country's supreme council and federal cabinet. Even after being opened to the public, the palace continues to be used for these purposes.
In 2020, the Qasr Al Watan Presidential Palace was nominated for the World Travel Awards as the main cultural tourist attraction in the Middle East.
