At such a depressing time like now, with the COVID-19 pandemic in full effect, I have turned to my hobby of die cast model airplane collecting to keep my spirits up!
Earlier this month, I visited my friend Elliot at Gemini Jets HQ in Las Vegas, NV. I take a look at the entire Gemini Jets collection in 1:200 and 1:400 scale on display. These special die-cast model aircraft include a Qantas B787 100th,a Boeing 747 Dreamlifter, a Thai Royal Barge 777-300, a Lufthansa 747-8, a Emirates A380, a British Airways B747 and a KLM B747.
I also look at a model airport set up and the warehouse of Gemini Jets. The 1:200 A380 in Gemini Jets weighs 3.8 lbs, that's a lot of weight for a model airplane!

Hey guys welcome to a brand new video. Today we're going to be taking a look at a part of the future of aviation. Electric Aviation Could Be Closer Than You Think. We're going to be taking a look at several electric aircraft that have been announced in recent years.
Aircraft like the Eviation Alice. The aircraft is Completely Electric powered with Israel being its national origin. An aircraft like Alice is just one end of the spectrum when it comes to electric aviation.
Next there is the eCaravan! Its a Cessna 208B Grand Caravan retrofitted with a 750 horsepower all-electric motor developed by a Redmond-headquartered company called magniX. The aircraft was converted by MagniX and AeroTEC.
Then there is the Pipistrel Alpha Electro! It's 2-seat electric trainer with performance mainly focused for flight training. We are really starting to see electric aviation at every level in the industry.
It is really good to see companies that are daring to change the way we fly. If you haven't seen my video on the Celera 500L you should definitely check it out because they have a similar goal in mind but its done in a drastically different way! The went for speed, altitude, range, while still being able to bring the cost of private travel down a ton. But that aircraft isnt electric in its current form although they do eventually plan to implement electric propulsion. These aircraft are showing that aviation will be so different in the future. Difference is innovation and invention and innovation is key to success of anything.

Rolls-Royce claims to have developed the world's fastest all-electric aircraft
British aero engine manufacturer Rolls-Royce says it has developed the world's fastest all-electric aircraft, according to a statement from the company.
The aircraft -- dubbed the Spirit of Innovation -- attained a maximum speed of 387.4 mph (623km/h) in flight, which Rolls-Royce said it believed makes it the world's fastest all-electric Rolls-Royce said in a press statement the Spirit of Innovation set three world records in total, including reaching 345.4 mph over 1.86 miles on 16 November. The company also said the vehicle achieved the fastest time to ascend 3000 meters by one minute, with a time of 202 seconds.
The aircraft flew 300 mph over 9.32 miles in Wiltshire at the UK Ministry of Defence's military aircraft testing site, which is 182 mph quicker than the previous record, the statement said.
The figures have been presented to the sport's global governing body Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FIA) for verification.
Assembled as part of the Accelerating the Electrification of Flight (ACCEL) project, and funded by the Aerospace Technology Institute (ATI), the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy and Innovate UK, the aircraft runs on a 400kW electric powertrain.

Test pilot and Rolls-Royce director of flight operations Phil O'Dell, who accomplished the top speed, said this is the highlight of my career and is an incredible achievement for the whole team.

Following the world's focus on the need for action at COP26, this is another milestone that will help make 'jet zero' a reality and supports our ambitions to deliver the technology breakthroughs society needs to decarbonise transport across air, land and sea, East added.
UK business secretary Kwasi Kwarteng said the aircraft will show the potential of electric flight and help to unlock the technologies that could make it part of everyday life.
The government is proud to back projects like this to leverage the private investment necessary to unlock cleaner, greener aircraft which will allow people to fly as they do now, but in a way that cuts emissions, Kwarteng added.
