MORE INFO ABOUT THE VIDEO ????
⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯
Spain is a complex country! It’s also a pretty easy going one. But there are certain things that you just don’t want to get wrong. And here they are!

11. Don’t go OTT on please and thank you.
In Spanish we just don’t use the words as much. We are more likely to work ‘please’ and ’thank you’ into the tone of how we speak, or by tweaking the words (such as adding “ito” to the end of a word).

10. Don’t put bread on your plate.
In Spain, you always leave your bread beside your plate on the table. It sites beside your cutlery, because it kind of is a piece of cutlery.

9. Don’t eat with your hand under the table.
I grew up with no elbows on the table. But here in Spain we also have the rule that you should have your hands above the table at all times. Because you might have a knife??

8. Don’t offer guests a beer at 5pm
Because we eat lunch and dinner later, beer o’clock is usually about 8pm… not 5pm.

7. Don’t help with the dishes after parties.
It’s just not something that’s done here. At the end of a party or dinner party, you might help tidy up slightly, but you don’t help do the dishes.

6. Don’t be a ‘pesado’ in social situations.
Chill out! Don’t ask people what their job is straight away when you meet them in a social setting and don’t expect people to cut to the chase when telling a story - we take our time here!

5. Don’t misinterpret loud conversations.
When Yoly speaks with her mother on the phone, it can get heated. But they’re not arguing - it’s just that conversations here often sound more intense.

4. Don’t generalise about Spain.
This is a highly regional country. So don’t assume that every region of Spain has the same language, customs or food.

3. Don’t call Catalan a dialect of Spanish.
Catalan is its own language - and don’t get that wrong (especially when speaking to a Catalan)

2. Don’t used ‘usted’ willy nilly.
Here in Spain we’re pretty informal and so don’t use “usted” unless we’re speaking with older people or in very formal situations.

1. Don’t mention the civil war casually.
The Spanish civil war and the dictatorship is a really complex topic, and still an open wound in Spain. So wait until you know someone pretty well before diving into the topic.

WHO ARE WE? ????

11 Things You Should Avoid Doing on the Plane

When you board an airplane, you expect a pleasant flight with as much comfort as you could get. But your comfort — and safety too, for that matter, — heavily depends on your friendly flight attendants.
Of course, they won’t say anything, but there are things they frown upon — and one that they just loathe. But I’m getting ahead of myself. So, if you really want a nice journey, you should keep in mind not to do those things that earn you the wrath of the flight attendants.

SUMMARY
- When there’s a line of passengers waiting to use the bathroom while everyone else is looking for their seats, delays are guaranteed.
- So when you take too much carry-on with you, two unpleasant things happen at once: one, you make other people wait while you put all your stuff up there, and two, those people who’ve been waiting for you can’t put their own bags into the bins because you’ve hogged them.
- Even pleasant smells can get on your nerves when there’s just too much of them. That perfumed piece of handmade soap you carry on with you has a wonderful aroma, but only for the first few minutes.
- When a flight attendant approaches you to ask a question, it’s polite to take off your headphones and pay them your full attention.
- Flight attendants confess that one of the most frustrating things is when passengers start trying to persuade them to change their seat assignments. The thing is, they simply can’t do that.
- When taking off, taxiing, and landing, as well as during turbulence, you should stay seated and fasten your belt in case anything happens.
- If you insistently press the call button for no good reason, chances are you’ll be asked to stop doing that — or even ignored completely.
- When you ask a flight attendant what they have, you make other passengers wait longer and get edgy — consider this when you take your time ordering your food and drinks.
- One of the downsides of working as a flight attendant is that you only get paid for the hours of actual flight. All the work you do while on land is free.
- Safety presentations are really similar on most airlines, but it’s still worth it to refresh them in your memory before the flight.
- It’s absolutely not fine to poke or grab a flight attendant for any reason, just like any other person. Some attendants say, though, that there are people who find it okay to touch them by the knee or ankle when they pass by.

SUMMARY:
- If you think plastic surgery is a modern convenience, you’re up for a big surprise. India had it covered more than 2,500 years ago, way back in the 6th century B.C.E.!
- Up until the early 18th century, India was the only source of diamonds in the world. According to the Gemological Institute of America, these precious stones were first discovered and traded in the 4th century B.C.E.
- Civilized urban life as we know it dates back about 5,000 years in India. The Ancient History Encyclopedia says that, by 2600 B.C.E., dozens of towns and cities belonged to that civilization.
- Speaking of better social conditions, during the Vedic period, which lasted from about 1500 to 500 B.C.E., the Indian society was probably the most equal in the known world at that time.
- The concept of “zero” and the rules of its use were first invented in India at around the 7th century C.E. Before that, the idea of “nothing” hadn’t even been treated as a number.
- “Shampoo” is derived from the Hindi word “champo,” which means “to massage” or “knead.” And the first mention of this “head kneading” was by Greek historian Strabo back in the 4th century B.C.E.
- One of India’s greatest minds lived in the 5th century C.E. His name was Aryabhata, and he wrote a treatise on astronomy that became a foundation for many later studies.
- Do you play chess? Even if you don’t, you know what it is. But did you know that its ancestor was born in India too? The ancient game was called chaturanga, and it appeared at around the 6th century C.E.
- India wasn’t always a “subcontinent.” In the era of dinosaurs, over 100 million years ago, it was actually an island! It had broken off from a supercontinent and slowly but steadily traveled north, arriving to its present-day location in just about 50 million years.

11 Best Things To Do in Kolkata, India (Calcutta) - Kolkata Food and Travel Guide!

Here are 11 of the best things to do in Kolkata, India!
►Check out my Kolkata travel guide:
►Subscribe now for more videos:

Kolkata, India, was the first city I visited when I went to India, and after traveling throughout the northern part of the country, Kolkata was one of my favorite cities. It sure is huge and chaotic as you would expect, yet at the same time it's such a fascinating city full of life, culture, and lots of delicious food. Now let's get right into these top 11 things to do in Kolkata, India.
1. Mother Teresa Home - The first thing on the list is the Mother Teresa home which in Kolkata is just known as Mother's Home. It's the location where Mother Teresa lived, worked, and influenced many many people. At the small Catholic mission you can go inside, see Mother's tomb where she's buried and also see the room where she spent much of her time writing and thinking. There's also a small little museum where you can see some of her possessions.
2. Victoria Memorial Hall - Second on the list of top things to do in Kolkata (Calcutta) is the Victoria Memorial Hall which happens to be one of the most important landmarks in the entire city. The outside of the hall, which is built in Victorian style, is surrounded by nice gardens where you can walk around. The entrance to the park is just 4 Rupees. If you choose to go to the inside, the cost is 150 Rupees and you can get into the museum.
3. South Park Street Cemetery - One of the spookiest attractions in Kolkata (Calcutta), is the South Park Street Cemetery, a dark garden that's full of huge tombs. The cemetery is free to enter, though they'll ask your for a donation when you either enter or exit.
4. Khalighat Kali Temple - Dedicated to the Hindu Goddess of Kali, is the most famous and sacred Hindu Temple in Kolkata (Calcutta). The temple is nearly always busy and in order to enter you've got to take off your shoes. Surrounding the temple is a busy market. Be careful when you visit the Kalighat Temple, there are many scams and people people that will ask for donations.
5. New Market - Next on this video list of Kolkata attractions is the New Market, sort of the center of the city with lots of energy. The New Market has an indoor section where you can shop for everything from clothes to electronics, but in my opinion, it's the outdoors area surrounding the market that's the most interesting. Here you'll find food, clothes, fruit, spices, and just about everything else you can possibly imagine. You can also have the opportunity to take a Kolkata human powered rickshaw in this area.
6. Indian Museum - Coming in next is the Indian Museum in Kolkata, one of the original museums in all of India. It's a huge museum and the highlight of the many exhibitions is the Egyptian mummy and numerous other valuable collections. The museum is also known as the Magic House.
7. Belur Math - Located north of the main part of the city is Belur Math, a private temple that's located along the banks of the Hooghly River. The temple is quiet and relaxing, and because they don't allow any videos or photos, I had to take the video from near the gate where they didn't have security.
8. Dakshineswar Kali Temple - Across and upstream the river from Belur Math is the huge Dakshineswar Kali Temple, one of the most famous Hindu temples in Kolkata. It's north of Kolkata, but it's worth a trip there to see the crowds and to see people bathing in the river.
9. Mullik Ghat Flower Market - Next up is the center flower market of Kolkata. The market, which is located below the Howrah Bridge, is just a fascinating sight of moving colorful flowers.
10. Terreti Market - Occupying Sun Yat Sen road, is the early morning Chinese food market which is known as Terreti Bazar. It makes a perfect place to get a morning breakfast of Chinese food when you're in town.
11. Kolkata Street Food - Last but not least for things to do in Kolkata is eat street food. There's a lot to eat and it's mouthwatering good!

12 Things NOT To Do in India

Get more Tips here!
There are some pretty standard rules for most Asian and Indian cultures;
Don't pass things with your left hand, point or touch things with your feet, display affection publicly, wear outdoor shoes indoors, or drink tap water.

But here are some other things NOT to do in India!

Don't Diss Cricket!
Sachin Tendulkar is regarded as one of the greatest batsmen ever, but Maria Sharapova didn't know that and India responded with the meme Who is Maria Sharapova?

Don't be gay!
Gay relationships are slowly becoming less taboo, however gay sex is still illegal! If you find men holding hands, it's just a sign of their friendship.

Don't trust strangers!
According to global-gallivanting.com, people will overcharge you for pretty much everything, and you may even be tricked into going to unsafe places.

Don't give money to the poor!
Poverty is a serious issue in India, but there is a possibility of that poor person being involved in an underground network of beggars. If you really want to help, share some food or water with them.

Don't Reject food from your host!
There is an ancient Hindu scripture which states that a “Guest is like God”. Accept food at a host’s place, or you would have hurt their feelings.

Don't have a cow!
Cows are sacred to Hindus! You are not going to be seen positively if you say you eat beef. Many restaurants in India are vegetarian, pescetarian or may offer chicken.

Don't Help With The Dishes!
Guests are not supposed to wash dishes in the host's place. Remember Guest is like God? So, do not be the ideal house guest and offer to help with the dishes.

You will experience kaleidoscope of culturally diverse images while travelling in India. People living in one part of our country are completely unaware about the traditions and cultures of another part; the diversity here is to that extent. Therefore, in order to not be confused you must do your homework before visiting this amazing country. It is always good to collect some information about India before visiting as this might make your journey not only memorable but smoothen also.

The 11 things are mentioned below which you must keep in mind before Travelling in India:

1. Travel Safe When you visit other country being safe is the most important thing. It is advised to carry only valuable things. In the meantime, you must carry credit card or debit card and avoid cash.
