10 Cheapest Cities To Live In The United States

What are the cheapest cities to live in the United States? Hey everyone! If you're like me, you're always on the lookout for a good deal. And when it comes to finding a new place to live, nothing is more important than getting the best bang for your buck. In this video, I will show you the 10 cheapest cities to live in America. But please remember, just because a city is cheap doesn't mean it's not worth residing in. Actually, some of these cities are downright amazing. Trust me; living in a budget-friendly town has some great benefits. So if you're looking for a new place to call home, make sure you watch this video all the way through.
10. Grand Rapids, Michigan
Grand Rapids is a beautiful city, and it's the perfect place to raise a family. You probably heard that it is one of the cheapest cities to live in the USA. That's right! Grand Rapids has a significantly lower cost of living compared to other major U.S. metro areas. Even though the city's annual average income is lower than the national average, the area allows you to make the most of your money. Despite price growth, housing costs are lower than the national median. Additionally, Grand Rapidians spend less on basic expenses than people in other parts of the country, including groceries and medical care. But not just the low cost of living that makes Grand Rapids a great city - it's also the quality of life. Grand Rapids has a thriving arts and culture scene. And, of course, it's not far from some of the most beautiful natural scenery in the country. So if you're looking for an affordable place to live with a high quality of life, you may check out Grand Rapids, Michigan.
9. Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
This charming city has a population of just over 300,000 people, making it the perfect size for those who want to avoid the hustle and bustle of a big city but still have access to all the amenities they need. The cost of living in Pittsburgh is relatively low, and plenty of affordable housing options are available. Additionally, Pittsburgh is home to several employers, so finding a job shouldn't be a problem. In fact, the increase in employment options has made Pittsburgh a desirable location for families and graduates. Compared to other major cities, Pittsburgh has a more affordable housing market. With new industries moving to Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh's outdated reputation as a blue-collar city is being replaced, and the quality of living continues to rise.

8. Fayetteville, Arkansas
The drastic growth being experienced in the cities around Fayetteville is drawing attention to the city. Now, we’ve found that it’s one of the cities with the most affordable cost of living. No wonder the location that used to be a small town has metamorphosed into a city of culture, commerce, and entrepreneurship, crowned with the presence of higher education. It is home to the University of Arkansas, the birthplace of Walmart, and the headquarters of Tyson Foods. To live in this city, the median monthly rent is just 868 dollars while the median home price is 203,150 dollars if you desire to own a home. If you put that side-by-side with the average annual salary of 50,470 dollars and an unemployment rate of just 4.7 percent, you will understand why people from all over the world call Fayetteville home.
7. Knoxville, Tennessee
You might not think Knoxville, Tennessee is a cheap city, but it actually is. The cost of living in Knoxville is 17.7% less than the national average, and housing prices are a whopping 30% less.

Affordable Cities: 10 US Metro Areas With Underrated Livability, Walkability and Transit

Which city should I move to? This is a question people are increasingly asking themselves as the challenge of finding affordable living in coastal and sun belt cities continues to spiral out of reach. Now, we're all for fighting the good fight to get more housing built in the places where people want to live...but for some people, you just can't wait for solutions. Today's video is here to help!

There's a staggering difference in cost of living between the sought-after cities of California (and even skyrocketing cities like Austin and Nashville), and established, legacy cities in other parts of the US. So this video tackles the question of not only what are the most affordable places to live in the US, but where good prices intersect with things city-lovers care about: public amenities, culture, sports, walkability, bike-ability, and transit service.

This is CItyNerd's guide to the ten most underrated cities to move to in the US. Your results may vary, so let me know what you think I overrated or underrated down in the comments!

Top 10 Cheapest Beach Towns in the US.

Top 10 Cheapest Beach Towns in the US.

Most people dream about buying a home near or on the beach. Most of the time beach towns are far too expensive to actually pull it off for most of us in the United States.
This list is about beach towns that might actually be affordable and maybe help make that dream a reality.
If you are thinking about calling a realtor and picking up a mortgage on a little slice of the ocean, maybe this list will help you in that search.

10 Cheapest Places to live in California.

10 Cheapest Places to live in California.

Buying a house can be hard. If you are thinking about California and don't need to be in one of the major cities, this list is for you.
Nobody wants a giant mortgage but in most of California, that is what you are going to get.

If you enjoy these videos I would love to hear about it. Most of these videos are made to help people who are thinking about relocating, looking for real estate, or just wanting to learn about the United States. We look at the best and worst cities, states, towns, and neighborhoods in the United States. But, most of the time focus on the negative side of locations. If you only want some happy positive information about a city, town, or state, I would suggest looking up local mortgage and real estate companies or maybe the locations website. They are trying to sell you something so it will be nothing but sunshine, rainbows, and a bunch of smoke up your skirt. They won't tell you about crime, poverty, bail bondsmen, or insurance you'll need because of natural disasters. I will. And I will try and make it entertaining.

Here are my top five cities in the southern USA that I would move to, they are cheap and underrated cities with a lot of unique things to see and do!

I like to spend a lot of time traveling internationally, working seasonally somewhere in the US, or just staying on the go. So finding a city that's affordable for a home base is essential for me. It's also a huge plus if it has warm winters. For that reason, I've been on the hunt in the southern USA for 'home', a city I can invest in. The criteria has been cheap cost of living, mild winters, convenient enough to big airports, and having plenty to see and do in the area (especially nature related attractions). I still haven't picked a spot, but after traveling all around the south, these are my top five choices so far!

If you're thinking about retiring in a small southern city, or looking for a good city to start a business, or just wanting to move to the south... this video is for you!

The cities that made the list:

Brownsville, Texas
Greenville, South Carolina
Gainesville and Tallahassee, Florida
Huntsville, Alabama
Chattanooga, Tennessee

Honorable mentions:

Columbus, Athens, and Macon, Georgia
Knoxville, Tennessee
Fayetteville, Arkansas
Greensboro, Greenville, and Winston-Salem, North Carolina
Columbia, South Carolina
Ocala, Florida

*I wanted to feature lesser-known and underrated cities, so for this reason I left off cities like Savannah, Georgia that are also affordable and really nice, if they're already very popular.

*Several cities in Virginia would have made the list, including Richmond, Roanoke, and Lynchburg, but I decided not to include VA as a part of the south for this purpose. Just blurs the line too much and adds too many options.

Hope you guys enjoy. Would love to hear your thoughts. Which cities would be on your list? Don't forget to subscribe if you enjoyed the video, it really helps us out!

Top 10 Towns You Can Retire on $1658 a month in the Southern US

Are you thinking about retiring soon? Are you looking for an affordable town to retire in? Maybe you aren't retiring but still looking for a nice town where you can afford a home. If you are in those situations this video is for you.
We researched the Southern United States looking for the best towns someone could survive on Social Security only. That monthly check is currently $1658 a month. We looked at Cost of Living, housing, health care deductibles, insurance, and Utilities. These towns are the best bet for the average person on Social Security or some other sort of fixed income.
Most of these towns have homes for sale that can fit your budget. A Real Estate purchase in some of these towns is almost cheaper than renting.
Today we are looking at the Southern States. Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina, North Carolina, Louisiana, and Kentucky. Virginia and West Virginia should be on this list but some consider those part of the North Atlantic.

Side Note: This is focusing on residential real estate not commercial. People keep asking that for some reason. These are just the affordable and best places to retire or live in the southern United States.
