Top 10 Things I LOVE About SWEDEN

I recently made a video about things I hate about Sweden, so I was asked to do a follow-up about things I love about Sweden as well. This wasn't as easy as one might expect, but here are the top 10 things I LOVE about this country!

For more videos every week, subscribe to the channel:

Also, join the Three Star Vagabond Facebook group to discuss upcoming videos:

This video is from the perspective of a Swede who's lived all his life in Sweden. Sometimes it's hard to see the positive things about where you live - the grass is always greener on the other side, right? But I did my best to find ten things that I really appreciate about Sweden.

There's no surprise that nature is going to be part of this list, so I placed it at the very start. But I think that a few of the other items will surprise you. And I had to stray far from my Swedish roots when I got into things that I felt were dangerously close to boasting...

Check it out, and let me know what you think. Do you have completely different things that you like about Sweden? Let me know in the comments if so!

Top 10 Things I HATE about SWEDEN

I like Sweden. I like living here. But that doesn't mean that Sweden is a perfect country - far from it! This is a video about the top 10 things I hate about Sweden.

For more videos every week, subscribe to the channel:

Also, join the Three Star Vagabond Facebook group to discuss upcoming videos:

This video is from the perspective of a Swede who has lived his entire life here, but hopefully I've had some influence from other cultures as well. So this might not be a typical Swedish perspective on the problems about living in Sweden.

I cover a wide range of topics, from the Swedish consensus mentality where everyone always have to come to a common agreement during a meeting, to the semi-state owned companies PostNord and SJ. But I also dive into some sensitive and controversial topics. So make sure that you're not too thin-skinned if you're a Swede watching this video.

Worth noting is that this won't be a list similar to what you find if you just google things people hate about Sweden. Many complaints that foreigners have about the country are not necessarily things I agree with. The supposed coldness of the Swedish people, for example. That's not a bug - it's a feature! That's how we are, and how I believe people should behave.

All in all there might be a few surprises and some obvious items as well. For example... No one really approves of the recent crime waves with gang wars we've had in Sweden! That's probably a universally hated thing...

12 things we LOVE about Sweden ???????? ???? As Black Foreigners | This Country Is Quite Interesting...

EDIT: Just because we celebrate Sweden in this ONE video doesn't mean we don't appreciate England or our ORIGINAL country Uganda. England AND Uganda have some of the most BREATHTAKING PLACES + so much more [you already know this]. So please, sit back, relax & Enjoy the video without leaving any bitterness. As it is with travelling to any country, please make sure you do your research on safety measures to take. My heart Goes out to Stockholm today as I have just heard about the City Tragedy. Please let me know you are okay if you a living there/ have been visiting.

Hey Gals + Guys! My sister & I recently spent a long weekend in Sweden and figured it would be rude not to make a video whilst there ???? So here you go '12 THINGS WE LOVE ABOUT SWEDEN'. Of course we haven't spent that much time in the country or experienced day to day life in Sweden to deliver a more informed opinion but, from what we have seen so far, this is what we think. Have you been to Sweden before? What do you think about the country? What 12, 10, 5 things or even 1 thing do you love about the country? We forgot a couple of 'obvious' things, can you guess? Looking forward to your comments! x

5 Things American Tourists Shouldn't Wear in Europe

Grab some of our gear

Please Note: Young People Wear Many of These Styles Throughout Europe. These tips are geared toward 35+ year old travelers. Thanks for watching!

Grab a Wolters World Shirt

Heading to Europe & Not Sure What to Pack? Here are a few things that my fellow US travelers may want to avoid packing if they are traveling to Europe.
1. Baseball Caps: Europeans in general do not wear baseball caps, especially backwards. You would be better served to wear a more traditional hat. You will see an occasional NY Yankee hat, but why not buy the fancy hat you always wanted instead?
2. Athletic Wear: Europeans tend to wear athletic wear to do sports, not to wear around town. There is a trend of more athleisurewear in Europe, but it is not to the extent that there is in US.
3. Khakis: the omnipresent US male pant choice is not something you will see too often in Europe. Go for colored pants or jeans. If you want khaki like pants wear Chinos instead of Dockers. The pants you will see are a thinner cut or skinnier fit than in the US.
4. Oversized US University Sweatshirts.
5. Sport Shoes or High Heals: US sport shoes and white socks are not quite as popular in Europe as they are in the US. You may be better off with Urban Street shoes like Vans instead. Also, women should be careful with high heels as with all the cobblestone it is easy to hurt your ankles.
