This German travel vlog you will see why you need to visit Germany. Bavaria is beautiful for its castles, lakes and mountains. To our surprise Neuschwanstein Castle was overrated but the Alps and scenery are why you need to visit. This vanlife Europe episode we explore Schwangau, our final stop on the Romantic road. Like always the German food and beer didn't disappoint and the Neuschwanstein Castle & Hohenschwangau Castle were beautiful from afar but up close, it was not what we expected. We visited a biergarten with a view of the German Alsps and tried pretzels and obatzda for the first time. Germany has been the highlight of the trip so far and can't recommend it enough.

We use Sony Alpha series cameras to film our videos. They are compact so you don’t look like a super tourist when you take great pictures and videos while you travel.
We use Manfrotto Tripods. They are compact, travel well, and honestly I would not use another tripod for my nice cameras.

Castle Neuschwanstein: 4 Reasons NOT to Visit Germany's Most Overrated Tourist Trap | Travel Guide
Much like every other foreigner in Munich, Bavaria, we jumped to visit Germany's most famous attraction at the first chance we got. After much video planning and preparation, we headed out to Neuschwanstein, only to be sorely disappointed with this overcrowded, over hyped castle. After living in Germany for three years, and exploring Bavaria deeply, we have solidified our impressions of the Fairy Tale Castle, and come back with some alternatives.

I start off buying a sombrero from a couple that have never left Trinidad and explain their difficulties in buying materials for their business. I then head to the local store to show the limited stock they have and how it's impossible for locals to buy anything because the stores don't accept the national currency. Ridiculous I know. After drinking a Cancanchara we get a bicycle taxi to the housing projects where tourists don't go to show a different side to Trinidad. We ascend a roof through a tiny hole and get shown photos of La Trova when the island was a popular tourist destination.
