Titanic Survivor Claims an Iceberg Didn't Destroy the Ship

Have you ever met a person who hasn’t ever heard the story of Titanic? Unlikely. Even if you ask a 10-year-old, they’ll tell you exactly what took down the gigantic ship. However, some survivors of the sinking legend would beg to differ. Here’s one of their stories, and it has nothing to do with an iceberg.

Armenian publicist Vaghinak Byurat was 25 years old in the spring of 1912. He described what happened on his journey to America on the most famous ship in the world in his memoirs. He’s never mentioned an iceberg hitting the Titanic, and always spoke about an explosion. And if what he said was true, something must have caused that huge explosion...

???? Btw, guys, there is a cat hidden in this video. If you can spot our furry little guy, you're much more attentive than most people! Do you accept the challenge? ????

SUMMARY:
- Armenian publicist Vaghinak Byurat was 25 years old in the spring of 1912. He described what happened on his journey to America on the most famous ship in the world in his memoirs.
- In 1912, Vaghinak published some books together with his father, a famous Armenian writer. His task was to take the books to America.
- They went to bed rather late on April 14, just like on the other nights. Shortly after midnight, something that sounded like a big explosion woke everyone up.
- None of the crew members wanted to say anything, but a few minutes later it was impossible to deny that the Titanic was going underwater.
- Vaghinak put his passport and money in a little bag and tied it around his neck. The Titanic’s bow was already underwater by that time. A lot of people in this situation wouldn’t have dared to take it to the open water.
- The water in the North Atlantic that night was just below freezing, at a scary 28 degrees Fahrenheit (-2 C). The young writer felt his arms and legs go numb, and he was understandably getting weaker and weaker every second.
- Then, he bumped into something. It was a lifeboat! But it was so overcrowded they pushed the young man with a paddle when he tried to stick to the boat.
- Vaghinak woke up alive on board another ship. That ship was the Carpathia, and it was en route to New York with lucky survivors on board.
- 12 days later, a woman came into the room. She turned out to be the person who saved Vaghinak. Missis Astor told the sailors that the young man was her son, and she wouldn’t let them go without him since she’d already lost her husband on the Titanic.
- Vaghinak lived a long and happy life and, as a great storyteller, he shared what happened to him many times. Interestingly, he’s never mentioned an iceberg hitting the Titanic, and always spoke about an explosion.
- It could have been a fire, and quite a lot of people actually believe that theory, saying that coal was burning in the ship’s hull.
- Another theory that explained the explosion claimed that there was a German U-boat involved in the sinking of Titanic.

Megalodon Caught on Tape EXPOSED

Just when you thought Discovery was playing games... SURPRISE! Aint karma a bizatch!!!? Megalodons are real after all.

The episode featured vivid segments such researchers recounting their attempts to tag a megalodon from a submerged shark cage, and supposed video footage of a South African charter vessel that capsized after something (presumably a shark of monstrous size) rammed and/or bit it.

Of course, the faux researchers in this episode never did find hard evidence of a living megalodon (they claimed to have tagged something that escaped by supposedly diving deeper than any known shark, but they didn't get a good look at it). And if something chomped and capsized a

vessel off the coast of Cape Town, South Africa, on 5 April 2013, killing several people, the South African press apparently didn't find that event noteworthy enough to report on at all.

The megalodon species of shark did exist, and it's not absolutely impossible that an undocumented species of huge shark lives in the oceans' depths (after all, it was only fairly recently that scientists documented the existence of the giant squid). But no such discovery or substantive evidence about living megalodons was at hand in the 2013 Shark Week premiere, and as Christie Wilcox wrote in a Discover blog entry, the possibility that some megalodons might still be around isn't even a subject of genuine inquiry or controversy among legitimate scientists:

Megalodon Shark Caught on Tape by Helicopter (Amazing Footage!!)

Amazing helicopter footage of a 100 foot shark capture from the a camcorder in a helicopter. 2014

below is an excerpt from wikipedia that can be found here

Megalodon: The Monster Shark Lives is a docufiction that originally aired on the Discovery Channel. The story, with only short disclaimers at the beginning and ending indicating that it is fictional, revolves around the loss of a pleasure boat and crew off the coast of South Africa and an ensuing investigation that points to an attack by a member of the species megalodon, a prehistoric shark thought to be long extinct. Its format is that of a documentary that includes accounts of professionals in various fields related to Megalodon. It follows a similar format to another docufiction aired by Discovery, Mermaids: The Body Found.

The show, like Mermaids, came under criticism by both scientists and ordinary viewers due to the attempt to present fiction as a non-fiction documentary.[1] Despite the disclaimers, some people actually believed they were watching a real documentary while others were offended that a docufiction show would be aired on a channel that previously was known for true science shows. The ratings, however, were strong enough to justify re-airing of the show at later dates.

Megalodon was an actual species of prehistoric shark, which lived approximately 28 to 1.5 million years ago, during the Cenozoic Era (late Oligocene to early Pleistocene).

Megalodon: The Monster Shark Lives now ranks as the biggest Shark Week episode to date, with 4.8 million viewers, though the infamy it gained from this was mostly backlash at the network itself, though Brian Switek said that Megalodon: The Monster Shark Lives gave science communicators like me an easy target.

MEGALODON SHARK EXISTS! Recent sightings & sharks pictures prove it 2015.

Megalodon shark is arguably the most insane thing that has ever lived – The MEGALODON SHARK had all the underpants staining features of the normal great white shark, except that it made the later look like a Nemo plush toy in comparison. With over 20 meters (60 ft) in length, Megalodon wasn’t just 4 times the size of a great white – these sharks were also the largest predator to ever swim the open seas, period!

This mega shark was the absolute apex predator during the Miocene and Pliocene epoch – as it ruled the seas for more then 16 million years. It was the perfect killing machine: built for speed, stealth and armed with teeth the size of a hubcap. In short, this magnificent bastard was basically what the other prehistoric nightmare creatures had nightmares about.

Could Megalodon still be alive?

As with most unbelievable things we want to be true – like an ATM machine that gives away free money, there is no concrete evidence that such a thing actually exists. Common believe among the scientific community is that Megalodon went extinct around 1,5 million years ago. However, there is also a group of scientists who believe Megalodon could actually be alive and well today – lurking somewhere in the depths of our unexplored ocean.

This believe is fueled by the fact that the ocean is quite a good place to hide in when you consider that 95% of it still remains unexplored. New creatures are being discovered all the time – including some that were believed to have gone extinct millions of years ago.

Even if there is no hard evidence to suggest that Megalodon still exists – these, relatively newly discovered, sea monsters do prove that large animals can survive undetected over a very long period of time. So why couldn’t Megalodon do the same?

If the monster shark did indeed survive then finding enough food to support it’s massive size would be a challenging task. Therefore, the depths of the ocean would be the most logical hiding place. See, things can get freakishly large in the deeper parts of the ocean ( Deep-sea gigantism). Giant squids, tube worms, and sperm whales would make an excellent meal for a shark this enormous. If Megalodon would indeed be alive today, then this would also explain why no one has ever seen a corpse of this monstershark – the dead body of a shark does not float, it immediately sinks to the bottom and quickly decomposes. If they really do live in such deep waters then this means it will be very hard to prove the Megalodon’s existance.

In the last few years there have been many reported sightings to suggest a Megalodon may be terrorizing the Sea of Cortez, just south of the California border. The locals refer to this giant sea monster as the “Black Demon. It is said to be around 60ft long, dark and with a huge tail that whips to the surface before diving away quickly.

There have been so many sightings of this mysterious sea creature that Monster-Quest decided to investigate. The team went out to to the Sea of Cortez in search of this animal, but like with every other episode, they didn’t find anything. I am starting to think “Monsters” in general are kinda camera shy. Still, even though Monster Quest didn’t find anything, the Sea of Cortez would make the perfect hiding spot for a giant prehistoric shark. It is home to some extremely large sea creatures that would make a great food supply for a shark that size, and it’s deepest portions can drop down to 12,000 feet.

In 1918, Australian marine biologist David Stead recorded events when local fisherman refused to go back out to sea after witnessing an incredibly large creature. These were experienced sailors, well familiar with whales and large sharks, but whatever they witnessed, frightened them so much that they refused to work any longer. Stead said:The fishermen described it as between 35 and 90 meters long and pure white in color.

That seems unbelievable though, even for a Megalodon. Could a shark really grow to that size? Were these men exaggerating, or were they just confused? If it wasn’t a Megalodon that frightened them so much, then what else could it have been?
