My fiancé and I just got back from a 12 day adventure in Belize. Tag along with us as we explore this beautiful country full of wildlife, Mayan ruins, caves, islands, and barrier reef. We stayed in San Ignacio, Placencia, and Caye Caulker. We also crossed the border to Guatemala to check out Tikal National Park. To capture our trip, I brought my Panasonic LUMIX GH5, DJI Mavic Pro, and GoPro HERO7. We used AirBnB for everywhere we stayed, and I am happy to answer any questions you have about Belize or creating this film!

One Week in Belize
Long time no see! On January 12th, 2022 we took off on our 5-month long honeymoon, starting on the warm island of Caye Caulker, Belize. We spent a majority of the beginning of our trip being unplugged and enjoying the sunshine until heading to the jungle side- San Ignacio. Videoing wasn't allowed on the tour but we did end up exploring the ATM caves and highly recommend it to anyone thinking of visiting Belize!

We shot all of this footage on a Canon Rebel T6i, GoPro Hero 8 Black, or iPhone 13. Drone shots were taken with a DJI Mavic Mini. We use iMovie for editing and a Blue Yeti microphone for voiceovers.

Day Two we rent a Golf Cart to drive us around San Pedro to our DIY Authentic Belizean Food Tour, where we try Stew Chicken, Rice and Beans, Fry Jacks, and Salbutes at Neri's Tacos and El Fogon. After the food excursion we check out Secret Beach and then take on our scariest adventure yet, a night snorkel in the pitch black ocean. We use Sony Alpha series cameras to film our videos. They are compact so you don’t look like a super tourist when you take great pictures and videos while you travel.
We use Manfrotto Tripods. They are compact, travel well, and honestly I would not use another tripod for my nice cameras.
Travel Plug that works in pretty much any country & has four USB ports. A must for any traveler.

It's understandable why people have been flocking to the tiny nation, which is about the size of Massachusetts, both for overnight trips and cruises. There is an incredible variety of things to do, with tranquil islands, lush jungles, archaeological wonders, and gorgeous wildlife on land and in the water.

1. Snorkeling and diving are some of the best in the world.
Belize has some of the best snorkeling and scuba diving in the world, which may be the primary reason the country is on your bucket list. Coral and marine life is rich and diverse since it is home to the second-longest barrier reef in the world (after the one in Australia). Off the coast, there is a gigantic circular sinkhole known as The Great Blue Hole that is 354 feet (108 meters) deep and 984 feet (300 meters) broad. Although it's intended for seasoned divers, beginners can reserve a helicopter trip for an incredible aerial view.
