Lithuania is a lively and interesting country that has changed quickly since it broke away from the Soviet Union in 1990. You'll find a lively nightlife in Vilnius and on the coast, a lot of space for outdoor activities in the national parks that haven't been spoiled yet, and a number of good beaches.
There's also a big difference between life in the city and poverty in the countryside. Lithuanians are fiercely proud of their country. They are also more outgoing and friendly than their Baltic neighbors, and you are likely to meet them everywhere.
Where to go in Lithuania?
Lithuania is small, so getting around is cheap. Even in popular tourist spots, there aren't many people, so you get the feeling that there's still a lot to discover here. Vilnius, with its Baroque Old Town, is the most beautiful Baltic capital in terms of architecture, and it also has a lively nightlife. Kaunas, the second largest city, also has a beautiful center, a few interesting museums, and some great restaurants and bars.
The port city of Klaipda is a good place to stay the night on the way to the resorts of Neringa (the Curonian Spit), a unique strip of sand dunes and forest that protects Lithuania from the Baltic Sea, or to Palanga, Lithuania's party town, where everyone goes in the summer to have fun.

Molėtai - the best lake district of Lithuania | Travel guide
Welcome to Molėtai - the amazing lake district in Lithuania. It is famous for Labanoras and Asveja regional parks, both having amazing lakes, vast forests and local sights to see. But here we can see much more than the lakes. It is home to the Astronomical observatory with the largest telescope in the northern Europe and ethno cosmology museum where we can get a close up of what humanity knows about space. ????✨????????????
It is quite close to Vilnius, so I was lucky to be able to come here a few times before finishing this video, as each place I visited was great and I've spent a lot of time at each of them, not wanting to leave ????
My tip for coming here would be to choose one or 2 places in the district for one day and not to hurry ????

Nida Lithuania is one of the most beautiful places I've been to in Lithuania. Of course, there are still SO many places to explore in this country, so I can't say for sure yet, but it's without a doubt been my favorite place I've visited in Lithuania so far.

Pakruojis manor and district travel guide | Lithuania
Welcome to Pakruojis - the time machine to 19 century in Lithuania. While the district is small, it is very well known around the country for its large manor house - which is almost like a theme park for old times.

THE MOST COLORFUL CITY IN LITHUANIA?! Marijampole Lithuania
A few weeks ago I visited the beautiful town of Marijampole near Kaunas Lithuania. A lot of people told me that if I loved street art and I loved colorful cities, then I absolutely HAD to visit Marijampole.
They were right! This city is covered in street art and art that really makes you think. I can't wait to go back!

Kėdainiai was a great place to visit and it astonished me that it was such a multicultural and historical city. When visiting you can see a lot of german and Scottish influence still visible in architecture today.

Famous for its beautiful lakes and forests, the Zarasai region in Lithuania impresses its visitors with the diversity, uniqueness and flamboyance of its nature. Twisting and bending rivers, scattered blue lake patches, peaceful woods and scarcely populated areas are the main attractions of the region. The two regional parks in the region, Gražutė and Sartai, encompass more than 100 lakes in their territories. Boat tours of different durations and complexities are offered, but the most unique experience is designing your own trip from the 6000km water network.

Zarasai District Architecture
Church Of The Discovery Of The Holy Cross Of The Complex Of Antalieptė Discalded Carmelite Monastery
The Church of the Discovery of the Holy Cross in Antalieptė, in 1732 funded by Jonas Mykolas and his son Juozapas Strutinskis, was built in 1760. In the early 19th century, a Monastery was erected nearby. After the uprising of 1831, the church was closed down, while the Monastery was converted into military barracks. The church was reconstructed into Orthodox church in 1846–1850, while the Monastery handed over to the Orthodox convent of nuns of the Church of the Birth of the Blessed Mother of God.

Although the stonework churches in Lithuania became popular even during Romanticism period, they used to be bricked out from the field stones. Wrought stones in Lithuanian churches were used very fragmentarily, this construction material was most common in the foundations of churches or execution of single parts of buildings. Therefore, Salakas offers the visitors a sight, which is not characteristic of our country – house of prayers erected using this type materials can be counted on the fingers of one hand.

The history of construction of the present Zarasai Church is long and complicated. Although the first project has been drawn up even by the late 30-ties of the 19th century, the construction stopped before long. Due to the technical problems related to the parts already erected, in 1849 another project was drawn up, still this church too was completed in 1862 only; after seven years had elapsed, construction faults had appeared.

Antazave Manor
Until the early 18th century, Antazavė was a part of Dusetos Manor property, the owners of which were the Radvilos, the Rudaminai, the Piotrovskiai, and the Tyzenhauzai. In 1686, the Tyzenhauzai sold the Dusetos Manor together with the small estate of Antazavė to the Pliateriai. In 1729, the smaller Antazavė estate, as a separate possession, became owned by Aleksandras Konstantinas Pliateris.

Zarasai ist eine kleine Stadt, die von sieben Seen umgeben ist. Ländlicher Tourismus ist eine der populärsten Aktivitäten im Kreis Zarasai. In der spektakulären Landschaft von Oberlitauen finden Sie etwa 50 Anbieter von ländlichen Dienstleistungen an den schönsten Orten, in den Schutzgebieten, in der beeindruckenden Landschaft von Oberlitauen.
Das Land bezaubert seine Besucher nicht nur mit großartigen Seen, sondern auch mit malerischer und einzigartiger Natur. Die Stelmužė-Eiche ist der älteste und dickste Baum in Litauen und eine der ältesten Eichen in Europa. Es ist voller Legenden, daher ein sehr beliebtes Touristenobjekt von zahlreichen einheimischen und ausländischen Besuchern. Fasziniert von der Kraft der Eiche können Sie die lokale unberührte Natur bewundern, während Sie auf den Wasserstraßen und Landwegen, die im gesamten Gebiet verstreut sind, fahren.
