There is in Ukraine undiscovered phenomenon which is almost unknown in the world. Unknown at all. Even not all Ukrainians know about it – about boat-shaped churches. A very small amount of such churches remained, and they have some peculiarities. First of all, they are quite ancient churches built of wood. They are several hundred years old. They have to demonstrate that it is the archetype of boat-shaped temple. By the way, in many religions not only the Christianity contains it. The archetype of boat-shaped temple came to us from the ancient generations. It has been preserved.

Alone in the Carpathians. Winter ascent to Sinyak | 16 km | 4K

Detailed route track:
February 2023. I arrived in the morning in the village of Tatariv by Kyiv-Rakhiv train, where I immediately boarded a bus to Bukovel.
The route to Sinyak begins along the ski lift through the Tomnatyk meadow, where I made myself a coffee and had breakfast. I put on snowshoes and started climbing.
Mount Sinyak greeted me with a strong wind that grew stronger every minute. Further, my route ran along the ridge towards Mount Khomyak with a slight loss of height.
After lunch, I was already in captivity of the Hamsters. The wind was so strong that it sometimes knocked me off my feet. He found a hut in the field where he made tea and warmed up a little. I decided that the approach to the Hamster is quite risky and dangerous, with such a wind there will definitely be no pleasure from the ascent.
At 4 p.m., he went down to the Tatariv-Yasinya highway along the green route.

Ясіня. Єврейське кладовище (кіркут) – пам'ятка історії та культури
До єврейського цвинтаря в закарпатському селищі Ясіня треба піднятися ґрунтівкою на високий пагорб. Єврейські цвинтарі в Україні мають історичну, культурну та художню цінність. Згідно з єврейськими традиціями та обрядами, поховання не переносяться, вважаються недоторканними. Кіркут, так називають поховання юдеїв у Західній Україні, існував з кінця XIX ст. і діяв близько ста років. Євреї ховали померлих на височині, щоб бути ближче до неба. Практичність такого рішення полягає в тому, що весняні води та течії гірських річок Чорна Тиса та Лазещина не руйнують некрополь. На невеликій площі рядами притиснуті один до одного кількасот могильних надгробків. На знак вічності та віри пам'ятники виготовлені з каменю. Деякі портали перекосились та вросли в землю. На плитах вказані на івриті імена покійних, дати смерті за єврейським календарем. Портретів та скульптурних композицій на могилах немає. Іноді написи, схожі на шифр, свідчать про рід діяльності та праведні справи покійного. Мацеви прикрашені гравіюванням рослинних орнаментів, квітів, шестикінцевих зірок, релігійних символів, п’ятисвічників, зображенням птахів, тварин. Жоден пам'ятник не схожий на інший, а малюнки та написи – це індивідуальна історія життя покійного. Перші євреї з'явилися в Ясіні майже 150 років тому, вони поставляли продукти до прикордонних містечок. У юдейської громади була синагога. У роки Другої світової війни єврейське населення повсюдно знищувалося окупаційною владою.
