Linxiang District, located in the southwest of Yunnan Province, China, is the only municipal district under the jurisdiction of Lincang City and the seat of the municipal government. With a total area of 2,652 square kilometers, it borders Jinggu County in the east, Jingdong County and Zhenyuan County in the south, Gengma County in the west, and Yun County in the north. According to data on November 1, 2020, the permanent population of Linxiang District is 370,947.
Linxiang District is known as the Hometown of Chinese Elephant Foot Drum Culture and The Hometown of Chinese Wanyao Pottery Culture and has the largest germanium metal mining area in Asia. The annual average temperature is 17.3°C, with no severe cold in winter and no scorching heat in summer. It has been rated as one of China's top ten green cities and one of China's top ten tourist cities for summer and cold escapes. In addition, Linxiang District is also the permanent venue for the Asian Micro Film Art Festival.

Chengdu's Most Delicious Town! Luodai Ancient Town (洛带古镇)
Chengdu has a lot of yummy food spots, but Luodai Ancient Town (洛带古镇), the world's largest Hakka town, is the best! There may not be a lot of variety in this tasty town, but what they do have is some of the most delicious food I've had in Sichuan or China altogether, primarily Shangxin Bean Jelly and Swan Egg. Furthermore, it's also a relaxing getaway from Chengdu with tranquil spots, such as guild halls and the Hakka Park.
If you want to get here from the city, I recommend taking Subway line four to Xihe and then taking a Didi or taxi from there for a 15-minute ride costing around 20 RMB. If you prefer, you could take a Didi or taxi straight from the city for around 100 RMB. Also, Xinnanmen (新南门) Station has buses from central Chengdu straight to the ancient town for around 5 RMB.
