Veracruz Mexico is where you will find the Port of Veracruz, the oldest and most important seaport in Mexico. In this video we are going to walk around Veracruz taking you to the zocalo and down to the malecon where we learn about the history of Veracruz through it’s many buildings, and the oldest cafe in Veracruz, El Gran Cafe de la Parroquia where we will sip on it’s specialty Cafe Lechero! Of course we make time for a seafood lunch as Veracruz Mexico is known for their seafood dishes and check out the Veracruz beaches.

If you're looking for more than just beaches and resorts make sure to check out these top 5 Things to do around Cancun. First we start out in Chichen Itza, one of the seven wonders of the world. Next we head to Valladolid which is a great base to get a hotel and explore the surrounding areas. From here you can visit Chichen Itza, other ruins, and plenty of Cenotes. Our two favorite Cenotes being Cenote Suytun and Cenote Xcanahaltun. If you're up for a drive then head to the amazing town of Bacalar which we would argue is more beautiful than Cancun, Tulum, or Playa Del Carmen with out the touristy vibes. Here you can rent a boat on Lake Bacalar and travel to Los Rapidos. Last but not least we drove to the Archaeological Zone of Becán where we saw the most amazing Mayan Ruins. There are plenty of ruins closer to Cancun but we loved that you could climb up the pyramids here. Becan was completely empty and truly amazing to see!

CATEMACO Veracruz Mexico (SO BEAUTIFUL!)
Catemaco VERACRUZ Mexico is a very special place located on Laguna de Catemaco in Los Tuxtlas Biosphere Reserve.
Catemaco Veracruz is surrounded by the dense jungle surroundings and is also known for its traditions in witchcraft as many brujos live in Catemaco. The most popular thing to do in Catemaco is take a boat tour on Lake Catemaco to see all the sights on the lake so thats exactly what we did! After the boat tour we took a taxi to El Salto Eyipantla in San Andres Tuxtla. This waterfall is absolutely beautiful and definitely worth checking out when you are in Catemaco Veracruz.

Our Bus Got Stuck in Xico, Veracruz
The old cobbled streets in Xico, Veracruz were too small for the coach bus I rented to transport a large group of travelers from the United States. Because of the parked cars on the side of the street and some small stands selling items also on the side of the street, our bus driver could not go forward.
His only option was to drive in reverse for several blocks and them back down a side street to get out. I was in the front seat of the bus and filmed our professional driver as he skillfully maneuvered this 42 passenger coach bus backwards.
And YES, there were times when we were only inches from parked cars and building walls. It was tense!
