Friends, it was a rainy morning in early January in Hangzhou.
It was very cold and it was a holiday.
Everyone didn’t come out. I drove in the central business district. There was no traffic jam, and it was very pleasant.
Hangzhou is a famous tourist city in China.
Hangzhou is the capital of Zhejiang Province and the local political, economic and cultural center.
As the southern terminus of the Grand Canal, the city is located on the lower reaches of the Qiantang River in southeast China, a superior position in the Yangtze Delta and only 112 mi (180 km) from Shanghai.
The subtropical monsoon climate contributes to varied seasonal sceneries, making Hangzhou one of China's most popular travel destinations all the year round.
The West Lake is undoubtedly the most renowned landmark, noted for the scenic beauty that blends naturally with many famous historical and cultural sites. The Ten West Lake Prospects selected from the most frequently visited attractions around the lake give travelers a panoramic view of the city’s highlights. Take a stroll along the causeway by the lake; you’ll feel the peaceful ethos of the city and better understand its time-honored fame as 'Heaven on Earth'.

The airport has service to destinations throughout China. International destinations are mainly in the east and southeast Asia, and points of Africa, Europe, and South Asia. The airport also serves as a focus city for Air China, China Eastern Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Hainan Airlines and Xiamen Airlines.
In 2017, Hangzhou airport handled 35,570,411 passengers, which ranked tenth in terms of passenger traffic in China. Additionally, the airport ranked sixth busiest in terms of cargo with 589,461.6 tonnes and was the country's ninth busiest airport by traffic movements at 271,066.
On 8 September 2022, Terminal 4 of Hangzhou airport opened.

Xiamen Air also known as Xiamen Airlines, is an airline based in Xiamen, China. Xiamen Air has its northern headquarters in Beijing and eight branches in Fuzhou, Hangzhou, Tianjin, Hunan, Beijing, Quanzhou, Chongqing and Shanghai, and two subsidiaries in Hebei Airlines (99.47% shareholding) and Jiangxi Airlines (60% shareholding, based on the former Xiamen Airlines Nanchang Branch). Asian cities that have service to Hangzhou include Kuala Lumpur, Tokyo, Osaka, Bangkok, Seoul, and Singapore. Flights from Kuala Lumpur can be obtained from AirAsia. The service to Bangkok is through Hainan Airlines. There is a direct service to Hangzhou from Singapore on Jetstar Asia.

The airport is about 30km east of the city centre, taking between 30 minutes and 1 hour by taxi. A taxi to or from the airport from the city centre is around ¥90; on the way back, you should ask if the driver is willing to take you that far before just jumping in the car with all your bags. No additional fee is payable for travel to/from the airport, the normal metered fare applies.
A shuttle service (¥20) to/from the Xiaoshan Bus ticket office on Tiyuchang Road next to the KFC just west of Wulin Square. The shuttle bus also stops at the main railway station en-route. Buses run every 30 mins during the daytime and take about an hour; join the queue for your ticket at the booth just outside the exit before boarding the bus. And the departure times form airport is 07:30 — 09:30, every 30 minutes; 09:30 — 17:00, every 15 minutes; 17:00-21:00, every 20 minutes; after 21:00, every 30 minutes. But 30 minutes,20 minutes and 15 minutes refer to waiting time from the first passenger boarding the bus. After all the seats are taken, the bus takes off within 30,20 or 15 minutes.
