The Polish capital, Warsaw, has a lot to offer potential tourists. In this travel guide, I'll talk about where to go and what to do.
My wife and I recently had the opportunity to spend a month in Warsaw. It gave us a chance to get to know the city better and find out what it has to offer as a tourist destination.
When people think of visiting Poland, they usually know that they want to go to Krakow and admire it's beauty but Warsaw isn't usually at the top of their list. The city is a mixture of modern skyscrapers, soviet buildings and at the centre is a splendid old town (rebuilt after WW2).
It has a modern metro system, which makes it an easy city to navigate. It's also affordable, safe and developing rapidly. In this travel guide, I talk about a few of our favourite places to go in Warsaw.

ONE DAY IN WARSAW (POLAND) PART 1 | 4K 60FPS | There is so much to see in this beautiful city!
Warsaw is the capital of Poland and, with around 1.8 million inhabitants and an area of 500 square kilometres, the largest and most populous metropolis in the country. The city's architecture is diverse and offers a lot of variety, from Gothic churches, classicist palaces, a beautiful old town and impressive parks to modern skyscrapers.
The video is a remake of my One Day in Warsaw 2018 video that I published here on Youtube on 24/08/2018. It was my very first One Day In video, and the conditions were less than ideal. When I shot it back then, the weather was bad, I had a little experience only with filming, and I had used such strong colour filters, so the whole thing looks very unnatural to me from today's perspective. But it was a very good start for me: being creative, combining the recordings with music and creating a video out of it gave me so much fun and joy that I continued to gain more and more experience and knowledge about filming and creating videos. And so a whole One Day In video series has been created to date.
I always thought about creating a new One Day in Warsaw video when I had gained enough new experience and had developed further. And now it was finally time. I worked on the remake for about 2 years and am very proud to be able to show it to you now. This time there are two parts, because I like the old town of Warsaw so much that I dedicated a separate video to it in the second part.
If you know my videos, you might notice that the music title I used for One Day in Warsaw, Part 1 is the same as the one I used for One Day in Frankfurt, Part 1, just edited a little differently. I want to express that I feel very connected to Warsaw as a Frankfurter, many people live there who are very important to me. And I also want to say thank you in my own way. Because my experiences with filming in Warsaw at that time motivated me, as written above, to develop filming and creating videos further, and as a result for example my video One Day in Frankfurt Part 1 was created, which is my most successful video to date, with around one million viewers. And I think that the music again fits the recordings very well.

01. Palace of Culture and Science
The tallest building in Poland and the eighth tallest building in the EU. A mix of Socialist realism and Polish historicism inspired by American art deco skyscrapers. The headquarters of many companies and public institutions, cinemas, theaters, libraries, sports clubs.
02. Łazienki Park
The largest park in Warsaw, occupying 76 hectares of the city center. Literally Baths Park or Royal Baths. Was designed in the 17th century in the baroque style. The park-and-palace complex lies in Warsaw's central district (Śródmieście).
03. Royal Castle
A castle residency and was the official residence of the Polish monarchs. Located in the Castle Square, at the entrance to the Warsaw Old Town. A historical and national monument; listed as a national museum.
04. Wilanów Palace
A royal palace located in the Wilanów district. Survived the Poland's partitions and both World Wars. One of Poland's most important monuments. Serves as a reminder of the culture of the Polish state as it was before the misfortunes of the 18th century.
05. Copernicus Science Centre
A science museum. Contains over 450 interactive exhibits that enable visitors to single-handedly carry out experiments and discover the laws of science. The largest institution of its type in Poland and one of the most advanced in Europe.
06. Museum of Pawiak Prison
A museum. Shows the history of Pawiak Prison which was notably used during the German occupation between 1939 and 1944. An important monument: Monument Tree of Pawiak - a bronze copy of the famous elm on which the victims' families have placed the epitaph plates.
07. Saxon Garden
A 15.5–hectare public garden. The oldest public park in the city. Founded in the late 17th century, it was opened to the public in 1727 as one of the first publicly accessible parks in the world. Originally the site of Warsaw fortifications, Sigismund's Ramparts.
08. Powązki Cemetery
A historic cemetery located in the Wola district. The most famous cemetery in the city, and one of the oldest. Established on 4 November 1790. Was consecrated on 20 May 1792. In the same year the Saint Karol Boromeusz Church was built.
09. Warsaw Zoo
A scientific zoo on Ratuszowa Street. Covers about 40 hectares (99 acres) in central Warsaw, and sees 600,000 visitors annually. It is home to over 4,000 animals representing more than 500 species. Was opened on 11 March 1928.
10. Museum of Caricature
A museum. Was established in 1978. One of the first of this kind in the world. More than 25,000 drawings as well as paintings and
sculptures. Unique examples of Polish and World Caricature dating back to the 18th century.

Warsaw By Night 2020 to nasze ukoronowanie pracowitego, nieprzewidywalnego i pełnego filmów lotniczych roku 2020 ???? Nad filmem pracowaliśmy przez wiele nocy prawie 2 miesiące. Ostateczny render filmu trwał prawie 15 godzin, a i tak wykorzystaliśmy ok. 1/5 nagranych ujęć ???? To nasz 50 lotniczy film w tym roku!
Kręcąc oraz montując Warsaw By Night 2020 chcieliśmy pokazać kadry i widoki różnorodne, efektowne, oryginalne, oraz charakterystyczne dla Warszawy. Zależało nam, aby nie skupiać się jedynie na efektownym na nocnych ujęciach Warszawy centrum miasta, ale pokazać też inne rozświetlone nocą miejsca, takie jak Wilanów, Pragę, czy Żoliborz. Nocne zwiedzanie zaczynamy jednak od bardzo symbolicznego miejsca na mapie Warszawy, czyli Kopca Powstania Warszawskiego. Warszawa to miasto pełne kontrastów, nieoczywiste, z mniej lub bardziej ukrytymi śladami historii. I to chyba jest w niej najbardziej fascynujące.

Warsaw By Night 2020 is our crowning achievement of the busy, unpredictable and full of aviation films 2020 ???? We worked on the film for many nights for almost 2 months. The final render of the film took almost 15 hours, and we used about 1/5 of the shots anyway ???? This is our 50th aerial film this year!
By filming and assembling Warsaw By Night 2020, we wanted to show frames and views that are diverse, effective, original and characteristic of Warsaw. We wanted not only to focus on the city center, which is spectacular at night, but also to show other places illuminated at night, such as Wilanów, Praga or Żoliborz. However, we start the night tour from a very symbolic place on the map of Warsaw - the Warsaw Uprising Mound. Warsaw is a city full of contrasts, non-obvious, with more or less hidden traces of history. And that's probably the most fascinating thing about it.

Warsaw became the Capital of Poland in the late 16th Century. It has since become the countries largest city and 7th biggest city in the European Union. It is such an elegant place with beautiful streets, ornate architecture, culturally rich museums, and distinguished universities. Unfortunately, so much of the city was leveled during WWII. Great effort was put into restoring the old town to its former glory and represents a glorious period of European History. Just beyond the old town you can see Modern Warsaw which showcases some of Europe’s most distinguished and tallest skyscrapers. There are so many places to see in this city and I tried my best to do as much as I could in only two days, and this is how it went…
