Dusseldorf, city, capital of North Rhine–Westphalia Land, western Germany. It lies mainly on the right bank of the Rhine River, 21 miles northwest of Cologne. It is the administrative and cultural centre of the industrial Rhine-Ruhr area.
First mentioned in 1159, Düsseldorf was chartered in 1288 by the count of Berg and was the capital of the duchies of Berg and Jülich from 1511 until it passed to the Palatinate-Neuberg line in 1609. Although the town suffered considerably in the Thirty Years' War and the War of the Spanish Succession, it revived under the elector palatine Johann Wilhelm II. After being the capital of the short-lived Napoleonic grand duchy of Berg, the town passed to Prussia in 1815. Rapid commercial and economic growth followed the establishment of iron and steel industries in the 1870s. After the widespread devastation suffered during World War II, many of the city's old buildings were repaired and many new buildings erected.
Dusseldorf has three harbours on the Rhine and one of Germany's busiest civil airfields at Lohausen. The city is a banking and wholesale centre and is the administrative seat of many of the Ruhr's businesses. Its industries include iron, steel, chemicals, glass, and textiles.

Met de 530 PK-sterke BMW M850i rijdt onze Floris in deze aflevering naar het prachtige 5-sterren Hotel Okura Amsterdam. Daar wordt hij ontvangen door de charmante Catharina de Boer van de afdeling marketing en communicatie. Zij geeft Floris een private tour door 3 van de mooiste hotelsuites, allemaal hoog gelegen in het iconische gebouw in de gezellige Amsterdamse Pijp. Ze beginnen bij de Royal Suite van 90 m2 en gaan daarna door naar Presidential Suite van maar liefst 150 m2. Beide suites zijn kortgeleden met zeer veel smaak verbouwd en zien er oprecht fantastisch uit. En vergeet ook het uitzicht niet, werkelijk fenomenaal. Floris vindt deze suites al helemaal Pure Luxe van het hoogste niveau maar wordt omver geblazen door door de Imperial Suite van maar liefst 485 m2. Twee etages van Pure Luxe waar de groten der aarde gelogeerd hebben. Je waant je hier de koning te rijk en voelt je direct een enorme beroemdheid. Twee enorme slaapvertrekken met dito badkamers, overal meerdere zitjes, een enorme eettafel, een keuken (vooral voor de butler die inclusief is), een privé bioscoop. Alles is aanwezig. En inclusief vervoer van en naar Schiphol. Op het einde nemen Floris en Catharina natuurlijk nog even een gepaste (After Lockdown)-cocktail in de Twenty Third Bar, alwaar het uitzicht het mooiste is, zeker als het donker wordt. Santé! Kortom, deze video moet je gezien hebben.

Exploring tulips by bike in the Netherlands is an unique and must do experience if you have a full day in Spring. It has become an yearly ritual every year for us.
If you are in the Netherlands or planning to visit here in the Spring and especially during April and May 1st week then below you can find all the details you need related to visiting tulips fields either in private farms, gardens, open fields or tours.
Flower regions: Lisse, Noordwijkerhout, Hillegom
You can explore tulips by going to near by places by public transport or private vehicle and then hire bikes, scooter, other crazy looking vehicles :) also helicopter rides for an aerial view.
Keukenhof garden:
This is a world famous garden, open once in a year and generally crowded but is beautiful. You need to book tickets in advance, we could not visit in 2022 because of post covid rush.
