Is Borschahivka a dangerous district of Kyiv? Let's take a walk and see...
Few people from Kyiv have not heard of the Borshchagivka massif. This place is overgrown with many rumors and does not have the best reputation. The lack of a subway, the presence of industrial zones and proletarian dormitories formed a negative picture of the district. Although the romance of Borshchaga, which prevailed in the nineties, has not been observed for a long time.
Initially, all the territories of Borschagivka were villages in the vicinity of Kyiv. And there were five such villages: Mykilska, Bratska, Sofiivska, Mykhailivska and Petropavlivska Borshchagivka. Two of them, Sofiivska and Petropavlivska, have remained villages to this day. And Bratska, Mykhailivska and Mykilska Borshchagivkas united in the Yuzhnoborshchagiv massif.
To this day, people in Kyiv talk about the district's criminal reputation. Some people believe that after sunset, drugs are actively sold on the streets of Borshchagivka. Others - that apart from gopniks and criminal authorities, no one else lives on the massif. Perhaps, it was so in the nineties of the last century, but now these rumors are far from reality.

Mistaya Lake is located on the Icefield Parkway in the Banff National Park. This early morning bushwacking hike to Mistaya Lake started from the Silverhorn Creek Campground.
