Through the High Tatras on the Tatra Electric Railway for just €4
The Tatra Electric Railway has been taking people up into the mountains for over 100 years so it was definitely time I gave it a go. This metre-gauge railway runs up from Poprad into the mountains and it also has a sister rack railway that climbs very quickly up from Štrba.
Join me on a sunny day in January when I try out all the routes, and unexpectedly meet a lot of quite assertive old people...

Czecho - Slovakia Scenic Drive - Kuty to Hodonin 4K UHD
Today let's watch scenic drive in western Slovakia - and Eastern Czech Republic - middle Europe. It was a drive between Kuty and Hodonin via multiple villages, Holic and Skalica towns. Video was created in 4K UHD resolution using latest Gopro Hero 7 Black and timewarp feature.

I travelled with R615 Tatran Zemplin from Bratislava hl.s to Kosice at 10.11.2023 the ride time is 5:45H and is around 400 KM the ride is going over the biggest stations Zilina and Poprad Tatry. I can not really recommend this train because of the short ride time. I can recommend other lines like over Zvolen and Moldava nad Bodvodou. the bed was very comfortable but I sayed already the ride time was horrible.

We take one last ride with the Tatra Electric Railway “Comet” vintage locomotive. Our train reverses out of the high level station to gain access to the works branch for a very rare passenger working right into the works complex where we are welcomed by staff who take us on a fascinating tour, to see every day maintenance along with a selection of vintage stock, some of which was being restored to operating condition.

A Rail Trip Through The Scenic Hills of Eastern Slovakia - ZSSK 861 DMU Review
Hello, and welcome back to another train trip report on my channel.
In this video I will be travelling on-board a ZSSK 861 diesel unit from Prešov to Hanušovce nad Topľou. I had intended to continue through to Humenné, but unfortunately there were rail replacement buses in operation past Hanušovce nad Topľou.
This journey takes us through the hills of Slovakia's Prešov region. It's just a regional route, so plenty of peaceful villages and small towns can be seen on the journey. Usually, the service is operated by an impressive ZSSK 757 diesel locomotive with carriages, however thanks to the disruption today, it was relegated to these Slovak-built units.
