Beach is love. Bolong Beach is one few beautiful beaches in Zamboanga City. It is located around 30kms from the pueblo in Zamboanga. Its beach cove stretchs up to 4kms. There's no entrance fee when you get here. Just pay for the cottage. Cottages cost 50-100php. It's more fun in the Philippines.

MERLOQUET FALLS IN 2021- The Amazing Falls | Barangay Sibulao, Vitali, Zamboanga City, Philippines.
Merloquet Falls is located in Barangay Sibulao, beside Barangay Vitali – a junction point to the falls, which is less than three hours commute from Zamboanga City proper.
HOW TO GO THERE?
From the city proper, take buses bound to Ipil or Pagadian and advise the bus conductor to alight you at the junction going to Merloquet Falls. From the junction point, charter a habal habal going to the jump off point.
From the jump off point, you have to descend to 300+ steps leading to the falls.
if you personal car is more than two hours! I truly appreciate his efforts with this amazing waterfall adventure!
Entrance Fees: P5.00 per person. Parking Fees: P10/per motorcycle and P20/for cars and other vehicles.
Bring extra clothes and wear proper footwear for hiking. I recommend hiking shoes for going down the steps. You can leave your shoes in the cottages before you take a dip.

I've been Merloquet waterfalls a countless times already but I never get tired of seeing its beauty. Its natural staircase design is such a work of art. I brought my girlfriend here and filmed her while she was literally chilling with the cold water pouring over her head. Plus, we were the only people in Merloquet Falls Zamboanga City. It was a great experience
Merloquet falls is located in Barangay SIbulao, Zamboanga City, roughly 2 hours from Zamboanga's 'pueblo'. Take any van or bus that passes along Brgy Vitali (70 pesos) then stop over at Brgy. Sibualo. Ride a motor bike going to the waterfalls (100 to 150 pesos, make sure you got some haggling skills). It's easy.

If you ride the public transport bus, if you are in zamboanga city. go to the bus terminal in divisoria in Zamboanga City. and look for the trip going to pagadian city, dipolog city or even to cagayan de oro. that place is accessible to all bus route.

It takes time and patience before kayo makarating dito since medyo malayo sa city and this place is not yet commercialized, di pa masyadong nade-develop ang daanan but I can guarantee you na worth it lahat ng pagod kapag nakarating ka na. Sa mga nagsasabi na isla ang Tamangan Beach, hindi po siya isla. I suggest na kung pupunta kayo doon, yung di po umulan before the day na pupunta at sa mismong araw na pupunta kayo kasi sobrang maputik po. However, this beach gained popularity slowly because of social media which is also an advantage to promote Zamboanga's tourism. To all the local and foreign tourists, please be responsible on your garbage. We're free to take photographs and we can go there for free but let's also remember that we need to preserved this kind of God's creations.
PS: If you're from Zamboanga City, madadaanan mo ang Muti Grassland sa Buenavista papuntang Tamangan. Maganda mag picnic at mag photoshoot doon. May nature vibes. Maganda din ang sunset.

Here's where you can find the best view of Zamboanga City. Lantawan Grassland in Zamboagna city is such a romantic place and getting to here is literally no-sweat and easy!
This has become one of my favorite places in my city because it so near the yet, when you get here, it is as if you are far from the hustle-bustle of the city. It is so quiet that all you here are the sound of the birds, the breeze and forest, which is just right behind the Lantawan hill. The view of the city is spectacular. It is probably the widest angel of view of the entire Zamboanga pueblo.
How to get here.
Ride a Pasonanca jeep to Pasonanca Holy Trinity Church or Red restaurant for 9 PHP. Then, take a habal-habal ride to the the grassland for 200 PHP (2 pax back and forth) and you're there!

There are also numerous tales about the mystery or the origin of the name Panubigan. One story tells us of a group of people who discovered a kind of water. It was spring water, but others say that the name Barangay Panubigan is a contraction of two words, that is, Panu-bigan which means that there is a neighboring place, an island that caters water to other neighboring islands. This was how it got its name as the place is the watering place of all seven islands and four sitios, who are getting their water supply in the area of Panubigan.
