Copenhagen Travel Video Guide - Be it sea or canal, water surrounds Copenhagen. A network of bridges and drawbridges connects the two main islands—Zealand and Amager—on which Copenhagen is built. The seafaring atmosphere is indelible, especially around the districts of Nyhavn and Christianshavn.
Copenhagen is small, with most sights within 2½ square km (1 square mile) of its center. Sightseeing, especially downtown, is best done on foot at an unhurried pace. Or follow the example of the Danes and rent a bike. That said, excellent bus and train systems can come to the rescue of weary legs on your Copenhagen travel.
With just one day in Copenhagen, start at Kongens Nytorv and Nyhavn and head up the pedestrian street of Strøget in the direction of Rådhuspladsen. You can detour to see the exteriors of Christiansborg, Børsen, Rundetårn, and Rosenborg Slot along the way. If you're not up for a walk, one of the guided canal tours will give you a good sense of the city. In summer or around Christmas time, round off your day with a relaxed stroll and nightcap in Tivoli. With additional days in Copenhagen, plan to spend time inside one or more of the following: Rosenborg Slot, Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek, Nationalmuseet, Statens Museum for Kunst, and Kastellet. Alternatively, make your way toward one of the surrounding neighborhoods: Christianshavn for small café-lined canals; Christiania for hippie and alternative culture past and present; or Nørrebro and Vesterbro for a mixture of ethnic shops and trendy youth culture. Noteworthy side trips for longer stays include the expansive park of Dyrehaven in Charlottenlund, the Lilliputian village of Dragør, the historic castle in Hillerød, the modern art museum Louisiana in Humlebæk, Hamlet's castle in Helsingør, and the Viking Ship Museum in Roskilde.

salutations my friends. this is a map of Copenhagen Denmark. Copenhagen is part of the Øresund Region, which consists of Zealand, Lolland-Falster and Bornholm in Denmark and Scania in Sweden. It is located on the eastern shore of the island of Zealand, partly on the island of Amager and on a number of natural and artificial islets between the two. Copenhagen faces the Øresund to the east, the strait of water that separates Denmark from Sweden, and which connects the North Sea with the Baltic Sea. The Swedish towns of Malmö and Landskrona lie on the Swedish side of the sound directly across from Copenhagen. By road, Copenhagen is 42 kilometres northwest of Malmö, Sweden, 85 kilometres northeast of Næstved, 164 kilometres northeast of Odense, 295 kilometres east of Esbjerg and 188 kilometres southeast of Aarhus by sea and road via Sjællands Odde. excuse me. please comment about Copenhagen. continuing.
The city centre lies in the area originally defined by the old ramparts, which are still referred to as the Fortification Ring (Fæstningsringen) and kept as a partial green band around it. Then come the late-19th- and early-20th-century residential neighbourhoods of Østerbro, Nørrebro, Vesterbro and Amagerbro. The outlying areas of Kongens Enghave, Valby, Vigerslev, Vanløse, Brønshøj, Utterslev and Sundby followed from 1920 to 1960. They consist mainly of residential housing and apartments often enhanced with parks and greenery.
The central area of the city consists of relatively low-lying flat ground formed by moraines from the last ice age while the hilly areas to the north and west frequently rise to 50 m above sea level. The slopes of Valby and Brønshøj reach heights of over 30 m, divided by valleys running from the northeast to the southwest. Frederiksberg Gardens Autumn 2021 ???????? 4k Walking Tour Amazing Park in Copenhagen ASMR
Today, we will take a walk in the amazing Frederiksberg Gardens (Frederiksberg Have) in Frederiksberg, Copenhagen, Denmark.
This park is a favorite for locals and tourists in Copenhagen/Frederiksberg for a good reason. It's a large park where you can take long walks, talk with friends and stretch your legs. You can even see the elephants from Copenhagen Zoo at a certain place in the park.
In autumn/fall it is particularly beautiful with all the vibrant fall colors.
The park has several beautiful sightings such as Frederiksberg Palace, a pretty fountain and a special Chinese tea house that is open on Sundays.

Special events take place in the park on some occasions. For example, every year on Midsummer Eve, the park is a rallying point for thousands of people who attend community singing, speeches, music and a witch-burning bonfire at the lakeside in front of the palace.
Frederiksberg Gardens was established by King Frederik IV in connection with the construction of Frederiksberg Palace as his new summer retreat on high grounds atop Valby Hill.
Work on the project began in the last half of the 1690s with inspiration from Italy and France which Frederick, at that time still Crown Prince, had visited on several occasions.

As with all other public transport, Copenhagen has a very efficient bus network, including night buses and water buses. Originally a Viking fishing village established in the 10th century in the vicinity of what is now Gammel Strand, Copenhagen became the capital of Denmark in the early 15th century. Beginning in the 17th century, it consolidated its position as a regional centre of power with its institutions, defences, and armed forces. During the Renaissance the city served as the de facto capital of the Kalmar Union, being the seat of monarchy, governing the majority of the present day Nordic region in a personal union with Sweden and Norway ruled by the Danish monarch serving as the head of state. The city flourished as the cultural and economic centre of Scandinavia under the union for well over 120 years, starting in the 15th century up until the beginning of the 16th century when the union was dissolved with Sweden leaving the union through a rebellion. After a plague outbreak and fire in the 18th century, the city underwent a period of redevelopment. This included construction of the prestigious district of Frederiksstaden and founding of such cultural institutions as the Royal Theatre and the Royal Academy of Fine Arts. After further disasters in the early 19th century when Horatio Nelson attacked the Dano-Norwegian fleet and bombarded the city, rebuilding during the Danish Golden Age brought a Neoclassical look to Copenhagen's architecture. Later, following the Second World War, the Finger Plan fostered the development of housing and businesses along the five urban railway routes stretching out from the city centre.

This is a short video showing the inside of one of Copenhagen's Metro Trains. This particular Metro train was about to depart from Vanløse station (Vanloese Station). This was the Vanløse Station (Vanlose Station) to Copenhagen Airport line. There are currently two Metro Lines:

Tickets for trains can be purchased at 7 Eleven kiosks located on the stations, DSB ticket offices located on the Main station and automatic ticket vending machines.
