WE WENT TO LATVIA AND STARTED OUR JOURNEY IN RIG, WHICH IS IN EUROPE
We know that LATVIA, RIGA is one of the CHEAPEST cities in the world - however we wanted to see how far we could stretch €100 EUROS in this iconic and HISTORIC city.
we went to GET A BEER AND LUNCH, we ate COLD SOUP, WE HAD A VENDING MACHINE COFFEE, WE CAUGHT THE BUS TO THE CITY CENTRE FROM RIGA AIRPORT. we got a £30 return flight from riga to manchester with ryan air and we got 2 black american coffees.
we obviously had to get another cheeky coffee from a street vendor and also visit the the beach in latvia.
the weather in riga was a little bit rainy in july, but it was warm and pleasant.

3 Days in Lovely Latvia
I absolutely loved Latvia!!! Such a cool and interesting country with so much going on! I first visited Riga and the surrounding areas 10 years ago. I enjoyed my time there but I wouldn’t have raved about it. However, I was blown away on my recent visit! Great food, lots of interesting things to do and so photogenic!!!
The old town features many fantastic sights - the House of the Blackheads, the viewing terrace from St Peter's church, Three wall street courtyard, the narrowest street in Riga, the Three Brothers, the most romantic cafe in Riga and the Bremen Town musicians.
Outside of the old town explore the Art Nouveau neighborhood including the fantastic Art Noveau museum, visit the Freedom Monument, the Nativity Cathedral, take a canal boat tour, the wooden houses of Pardaugava, Kipsala and don't miss the fantastic Riga Central Market - the biggest market of its kind in Europe.
Only a 20 minute drive from Riga is the lovely Jurmala region with its 33kms of white beaches! There are also some great seafood restaurants. I visited my first ever art gallery in a train station at Dubulti. Visit a real Latvian bog in Kemeri National Park. And finally visit the watchtower of Lake Kanieris for some amazing views.
