???????? VALJEVO, SERBIA | TEŠNJAR Friday EVENING 4K City WALKAROUND | Serbia Travel 2022
???????? Valjevo (Ваљево), Serbia - For Episodes 7 & 8 of my 2022 Serbia Travel series, we’re in the city of Valjevo, about halfway between Belgrade and Užice. This video is a 4K Walkaround video and the next is a regular style video with the addition of Petnica and the Petnica Caves! We’re talking a walk around the city on a Friday evening as the sun sets, checking out Tešnjar, the central area, a church, and the backstreets!
People often only go to Belgrade and Novi Sad. But the scenery, history, architecture, people and Serbian food in this region are all amazing. I would seriously recommend! There are great bus/train connections to locations such as Bajina Bašta, Užice, Požega, Ovčar Banja, and more!
This is my 5th visit to Serbia (I was first here in 2019). Two of my trips were heavily impacted by the pandemic, but in 2021 I managed to explore quite extensively, visiting outstanding locations such as Kruševac, Subotica, and Kragujevac!

???????? Valjevo & Petnica, Serbia - Part 8 of my 2022 Serbia Travel series comes from Valjevo with its various spomeniks (monuments) and the AMAZING Petnica Caves! We are already checked out Valjevo in a 4K walkaround, but are you ready for dragons and bats in a cave from the last ice age?! (obviously no dragons LOL). It's also the site of one of the first Neolithic settlements in the region and you may even hear BAT ECHOLOCATION (sonar!). Petnica should definitely be on your list of places to visit in Serbia!
People often only go to Belgrade and Novi Sad. But the scenery, history, architecture, people and Serbian food in this region are all amazing. I would seriously recommend! There are great bus/train connections to locations such as Bajina Bašta, Užice, Požega, Ovčar Banja, and more!

And while Serbia is still one of the countries with less tourists in Europe, it is also one of the most affordable countries in Europe. Location 1 : Moscow Hotel, Belgrade Downtown
This upmarket hotel in a genteel 1908 art nouveau building
Location 2 :Republic Square, Belgrade
The Republic Square is one of the central town squares and an urban neighborhood of Belgrade, located in the Stari Grad municipality.
Location 3 : Sava Square
Sava Square, the biggest square in Serbia and a new public space within Belgrade Waterfront, encompassing some 20,000 square meters.
Monument to Stefan Nemanja
The centerpiece of Sava Square is the imposing monument dedicated to the founder of the Serbian State Stefan Nemanja, created by Russian artist Alexandr Rukavishnikov.
Location 4 : Kalemegdan Park
The Kalemegdan Park, or simply Kalemegdan is the largest park and the most important historical monument in Belgrade. It is located on a 125-meter-high cliff, at the junction of the River Sava and the Danube.

Monument of Gratitude to France in Belgrade's Veliki Kalemegdan Park was formally unveiled on 11 November 1930, the 12th anniversary day of the end of the First World War.

The confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers from the Kalemegdan fortress, Belgrade, Serbia.The Sava meets the Danube in the center of Belgrade, at the spectacular location known as Ušće (confluence), forming two islands at its delta, the Big and Small War Islands making Belgrade the only European capital that has two major rivers.
Pobednik (eng: the Victor)
Pobednik is a monument in the Upper Town of the Belgrade Fortress, Cast in 1913, erected in 1928, and standing at 14 meters high, it is one of the most famous works of Ivan Meštrović.
Location 5 : Knez Mihailova Street
Knez Mihailova Street, is the main pedestrian and shopping zone in Belgrade, and is protected by law as one of the oldest and most valuable landmarks of the city. Named after Mihailo Obrenović III, Prince of Serbia, it features a number of buildings and mansions built during the late 1870s.

???????? ČAČAK, SERBIA - This is Part 2 of my 2022 Serbia Travel series! This is my 5th visit to Serbia (I was first here in 2019). Two of my trips were heavily impacted by the pandemic, but in 2021 I managed to explore quite extensively, visiting outstanding locations such as Kruševac, Subotica, Kragujevac, Bajina Bašta and more!
This time, I’m once again based in one of my favourites - Užice. Today we’re visiting the city of Čačak, an unexpectedly awesome city no one seems to visit! It’s not far from the last video’s location, Ovčar Banja and the Ovčarsko Kablarska Klisura (Ovčar Kablar Gorge), with its amazing scenery and Serbian Orthadox monasteries!
Čačak doesn’t appear to be one of the common places to visit in Serbia, or a place with much in terms of Serbia Tourism, but we’re about to change that! There are beautiful churches, awesome architecture, and great Serbian food, just as in any other city!

BELGRADE, SERBIA - Welcome back to Belgrade, Serbia for another part of my 2021 Travel Serbia series to add to my previous videos filmed in Serbia in 2019 and 2020!
This time, we are checking out Belgrade's MASSIVE Eastern City Gate, another example of brutalist architecture in Belgrade. Last year we visited many bloks in New Belgrade (Novi Beograd) including Televizorka, as well as the Western City Gate (Genex Tower). The Eastern City Gate (or Rudo) consists of 3 residential tower blocks built between 1973 and 1976 at the height of brutalism popularity. Do you love brutalism or hate it?
We also have some Serbian food, simply some pita sircina or pita sa sirom (cheese pastry) instead of having burek sa sirom as always. After that, we head to the BIGZ building, an example of modernist architecture which was once home to a well-known Serbian printing and graphics company. The company itself dates back to 1831.

The Hiking Haven of Medvednik Mountain, Serbia I Best of Serbia
The mountains of Serbia are one of the
country's strongest assets ...
The most dominant of all the Valjevo mountains,
mountain of legends, blackberries, rivers and forest
trails for those addicted to walking through nature is Medvednik.
Medvednik (bear) is a mountain in western Serbia,
near the town of Valjevo. Its highest peak has an
elevation of 1,247meters above sea level.
Medvednik got its name from the fact that this mountain from the Valjeva
side is seen as a real bear's den, which is suitable for bears. Others claimed
that the name came from the large number of bears that were hunted
before, while the three were both cream cheese and lamb like honey, and
therefore the mountain got this name.
The slopes of Medvednik are overgrown with dense beech forest, and in some locations, pine trees appear. The mountain is rich in forest fruits such as: mushrooms, wild strawberries and medicinal herbs.
