Agueda Portugal - Colorful and Vibrant Streets - Aveiro Portugal | 4K
Águeda is a small city in Portugal which is known for its iconic umbrella sky project. Agueda is surrounded by vibrant display of colorful umbrellas in the inner streets. This festival is called AgitÁgueda and celebrated every year in July, as local artists and residents come together to decorate their city with this brilliant display.
The Umbrella Sky Project originated in Águeda back in 2012. It consists of numerous vibrant art installations scattered throughout the city, with the highlight being a mesmerizing display of umbrellas suspended in the air, giving the illusion of floating in the sky.
Águeda has also daily concerts, sports competitions, urban art, street entertainment in addition to this street decorations. Weekends are best days to visit and walk around the inner streets of Águeda, as it has more lively atmosphere than other weekdays
Águeda can be conveniently reached via train from Aveiro and takes about 40 mins. There are also Taxi available from Aveiro, however train is more economical. Aveiro has further direct connections to major cities in Portugal like Lisbon and Porto.

IGREJA PAROQUIAL DE VÁLEGA, OVAR
Esta igreja é dedicada a Santa Maria e foi construída no século XVIII em estilo barroco, tendo sofrido modificações muito importantes no século XX. Tem planta de nave única, muito ampla e alta, com capela-mor profunda e torre sineira integrada na fachada principal. A frontaria desta fachada foi revestida a azulejos polícromos representando cenas bíblicas e religiosas, azulejos esses feitos na Fábrica Aleluia de Aveiro, em meados do século XX.Os azulejos do topo da capela-mor são da autoria de Jorge Colaço. No interior são de salientar a pia batismal do século XVI, o retábulo principal do século XVIII com imagiologia do mesmo período. Os tetos, de madeira, são em abóbada de berço, revestidos com painéis de madeiras exóticas. Também as paredes interiores são revestidas com azulejos polícromos representando cenas religiosas. Os vitrais estão assinados por Cuadrado, da cidade de Madrid. De notar que toda a azulejaria, os tetos e os vitrais são do século XX.
