Scenic West Sweden - Bohuslän road trip across Stenungsön, Tjörn, Orust & Gustafsberg in Uddevalla
This is our (HereWeGo) scenic road trip from Gothenburg (Göteborg in Swedish) across the many Islands of Södra Bohuslän region. In this vlog, we started our drive from Gothenburg on E6 highway towards Oslo and exited the highway on the scenic road 160 towards Stenungsund. One will right away start noticing the beautiful sea inlets along the road side with hundreds of Islets and Islands from the car. This road will take you island hopping across the islands of Stenungsön, Tjörn, Orust & Vindön and eventually crossing road 161, which will take you to the city of Uddevalla, where we will visit the beautiful & historical bathing/spa district of Gustafsberg. The entire road trip is a very scenic stretch with amazing viewpoints at Tjörnbron rastplats, Skåpesunds rastplats and Såten rastplats. These rastplats with gorgeous views are ideal places for picnic. So do pack a picnic basket along. Do also take a detour from the road 160 on the island of Vindön. You will not regret this small drive with gorgeous scenery. This is a small circular road which will lead you back to the road 160 again to continue your beautiful drive towards Uddevalla. Do enjoy a fika at the charming Konditori Snäckan in Gustafsberg in Uddevalla.
All in all this is a full day road trip even though the drive itself is no more than 2 hours, you will definitely spent the rest of the time picnicking and taking photos at the scenic spots along the way.

Wandering in Ljungskile & Amazing Seafood at Musselbaren | Trip from Gothenburg, Sweden | Bohuslän
Ljungskile is a beautiful little community along the seaside located on Sweden's Södra Bohuslän coast in West Sweden. It is just 40 min by car from Gothenburg (Göteborg in Swedish). If you like swimming in crystal clear water, enjoy boating or you are a seafood lover, then you must visit Lyckorna district in Ljungskile situated along the beautiful bay with amazing views above the sea and Islands. Strolling the beautiful promenade (strandpromenaden) along the sea is an enjoyable experience, with crystal clear water along side inviting for a dip.
The promenade also houses an amazing seafood restaurant Musselbaren with views of the sea. They serve one of the best and freshest mussels in the Bohuslän region. It is a must try experience if you love seafood, especially Mussels. Apart from the mussels, their fish and chips were also very tasty.
A little further up the hill you will find this fairy-tale like summer residence from the 19th century - Villa Sjötorp. This is where you will find the best views of the sea and islands, from the villa's garden. You can book a stay in this beautiful residence or just enjoy their restaurant, which boasts high praise.
For anyone exploring the amazing Bohuslän region on West coast of Sweden, Lungskile can serve as an excellent central location for exploring the region.
We visited Ljungskile as an unplanned summer evening trip. For us Ljungskile came across as a surprisingly interesting place to visit even for a whole day. We will definitly make a day trip to Ljungskile again in the future with a picnic basket and swimming in the inviting crystal clear water.

Day trip to Fiskebäckskil & Lysekil from Gothenburg, Sweden | Skaftö - Bohuslän
Fiskebäckskil & Lysekil are located on Sweden's Bohuslän coast in West Sweden. For anyone visiting Gothenburg (Göteborg in Swedish) in summer, a day trip to the bohuslän coast is a must. The Bohuslän archipelago is dotted with many gorgeous island towns and fisherman villages. Fiskebäckskil is one such hidden gem (smultronstället as they are called in Swedish). Strolling along the beautiful flower filled streets and alleys is a must, especially the main street Kaptensgatan. During summer, the entire village is blooming with color full rose gardens in the houses along the street. Down on the water line there are small boat houses facing the sea. Between the Kaptensgatan street and the boat houses, there are plenty of alleys to explore.
The town of Lysekil is situated right across the sea from Fiskebäckskil. One can easily see the grand facade of the Lysekil's Church from across the water. There is a ferry that runs frequently between Lysekil & Fiskebäckskil and only takes around 10 minutes for the trip. I definitely recommend taking that ferry and enjoy the views of both towns from the water. There are plenty of activities and things to do in Lysekil as well, including the Lookout tower, stadsparken, Stångehuvud nature reserve and many bathing & swimming spots.
Both towns are easily accessible by car as many island towns in Bohuslän are either connected with bridges or there are free car ferry crossings available. So I recommend to visit one of these towns on your road trip and then take the ferry to visit the other.

Åre, Sweden - Åreskutan mountain - Summer trip to Åre, Day 2 | Åre mountain top | Sverige Fjäll
This is our (HereWeGo) summer trip to Åre, Sweden vlog, where we visit many scenic places in and around Åre. These places include some of the best waterfalls in Sweden such as Ristafallet, Tännforsen & Handölsforsen. Chair Lift and gondola ride to the top of Åreskutan mountain. Hiking and walking to some of the most scenic views in and around Åre. Some very scenic drives along the Åre lake and to the hills around Åre.
Åre is situated in the north of Sweden in the Jämtland county. It is an amazingly gorgeous mountain resort which is popular in both summer and winter seasons. During winter this resort transforms in to the biggest ski resort in Sweden, while summer months brings adventures/activities such as hiking, mountain biking, zip-line, water sports etc. For non adventurous people there are still many activities such as visit to some of the most beautiful waterfalls in Sweden, chairlift rides to the top of Åreskutan mountain, Gorgeous & scenic drives to some of the most beautiful viewpoints in Sweden & Swimming in the crystal clear waters of the lake.
This vlog is one of the many we will post for each day we spent in Åre. On the 2nd day we took the chairlift & gondola ride to the top of Mount Åreskutan. The kids specially loved the exciting chairlift & gondola ride up and down the mountain. We were mesmerized by the gorgeous views of Åre and the Lake below in the valley. Don't forget to enjoy coffee or lunch at the cafe/restaurant at the top.
