In this reel, we visit a pacific ocean island nation which created the record for least visited nation by receiving just 130 international arrivals over the whole year in 2017.It has it's own language but too few people to have it's own currency and is only connected to Australia by air routes, from where it imports most of it's food and thus uses Australian dollars. Most locals can speak Australian English as well as they have to go to Australia to study.
This is the story of tiny circular island nation of Nauru, in the middle of nowhere in the huge pacific ocean. It's so secluded that even CoViD virus couldn't reach here and it remained free of the pandemic.
It has only it's own airlines - Nauru Airlines - serving it, which mostly acts as a food importer and as air ambulance and is extremely expensive and thus limited use for passenger transportation.
