Today is Really A Taste of Bulgaria, Elenski Byt from the town of Elena in the Veliko Tărnovo Region of Bulgaria is Famous all over the country.
Bulgarians really love to make their own things from scratch themselves, fully organic and tasty. He shop I found in Elena was no exception.
Elena in Veliko Tarnovo’s region of Bulgaria are very proud and famous for their hospitality, so the owner of this shop was very kind to show me around and tell me the legend of Bulgaria’s cured ham and Spain’s cured ham
The Executive Chef is Martin Tru the son of the owner and was also a participant in Bulgaria’s Hell’s Kitchen, was also the winner of “cherry on the Tart” which is Bulgaria’s answer to “Come dine with me”
Though I did have chance to eat at the restaurant, the next time I’m in Elena, Veliko Tarnovo region of Bulgaria... I will be going there

FLIGHT OVER THE REGION BURGAS
The Black Sea Basin Joint Operational Programme (hereafter Black Sea JOP) is one of the EU operational programmes under the European Neighbourhood & Partnership Instrument (ENPI). It is implemented during the programming period 2007 – 2013.
There are 8 participating countries in the Black Sea JOP, i.e. Armenia, Bulgaria, Georgia, Moldova, Turkey, Ukraine, Romania, and Greece.
The Black Sea JOP aims at a stronger and more sustainable economic and social development of the Black Sea Basin regions. Through the Black Sea JOP, communities in the areas concerned will be encouraged to further develop their local economy, confront environmental challenges and promote greater interaction among people.
The programme is financed by the ENPI. The participation of Turkey is financed by the IPA (Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance). The participating countries co-finance projects with a minimum of 10% of the EU contribution.

Shipka Pass (Bulgarian: Шипченски проход, Shipchenski prohod) (el. 1150 m./3820 ft.) is a scenic mountain pass through the Balkan Mountains in Bulgaria. It marks the border between Stara Zagora province and Gabrovo province. The pass connects the towns of Gabrovo and Kazanlak. The pass is part of the Bulgarka Nature Park.
The pass is 13 km by road north of the small town of Shipka. It is crossed by a national road I-5, which runs between Ruse, on the Danube River, and Makaza border crossing to Greece.
A road also leads from the pass to the summit of Buzludzha, 12 km to the east.
During the Russo-Turkish War in 1877 and 1878, Shipka Pass was the scene of a series of conflicts collectively named the Battle of Shipka Pass, fought between the Russians, aided by Bulgarian volunteers, and the Ottoman Empire.
It was opened with a ceremony in 1934 and designed by architect Atanas Donkov and sculptor Aleksandar Andreev.[2] An important influence was the Monument to the Battle of the Nations in Germany.

The monument is a 31.5-metre (98-foot) high stone tower in the form of a truncated pyramid. A giant bronze lion, 8 m (26 feet) long and 4 m (13 feet) high, stands above the entrance to the tower, and a figure of a woman represents the victory over the Ottoman forces. A marble sarcophagus housing some of the remains of the Russian and Bulgarian casualties is on the first floor. There are four other floors where one can find replicas of Bulgarian military flags and other relics. The top of the tower reveals a panorama of Shipka Peak and the surrounding area
