Natural Beauty - Truganina Park Wetlands. First light, sunrise, cloudy, sunset & last light by drone
Last month I ended up visiting Truganina Park and the coastal wetlands 3 times as I wasn't 100% happy with my drone shots however on my last visit I was a rewarded with a colourful winter sunrise. I decided to include shots from the other 2 trips to show what the area is like at first light, sunrise, cloudy morning, sunset and last light with Melbourne city in the distance. The park is home to the well-known 100 Steps to Federation, a stone staircase made of basalt rock recycled from when the area was a clean-fill tip. The steps lead to the highest land point between Melbourne and the You Yangs mountain ranges where you can take in sweeping panoramic views of Melbourne City, Port Phillip Bay and the adjoining Cheetham Wetlands on a clear day. At the top of the stairs is the sculpture ‘Time Beacon’ by artist Cameron Robbins.

Our day in the Melbourne CBD
Whilst house sitting in Murrumbeena VIC we decided to take a trip into the city of Melbourne for the day. Our house sit fortunately had a secure yard that we could leave our dog Scout in, so we booked our first Ola and off we went!
We got a bit confused with the trams and the city was so busy but we had a great day full of fun and yummy food ????

Geelong is a city southwest of Melbourne, Australia. Lining its bay, The Waterfront esplanade has a 19th-century carousel, plus a curved art deco boardwalk and sea bath at Eastern Beach. Scattered along The Waterfront are the Baywalk Bollards, colourful sculptures chronicling city history. The Geelong Botanic Gardens lie at the eastern end of the bay. The central National Wool Museum hosts changing exhibitions. ????????
