Trosa is located around 65 km south of Stockholm. Trosa is a small town with only about 5,000 residents, There are about 2800 islands. The municipality has about 14 500 permanent residents, but periodically, its population far exceeds that. Here you can enjoy the beauty of small-town life. Excellent connections with the outside world and the proximity to the Swedish capital, along with the sea, the forest, lakes, meadows, and the agricultural region, make it hard for people to tear themselves away. The population of Trosa has grown steadily for years now, as has the municipality’s popularity as a destination.
Today Trosa is one of the top four wealthiest communities in Sweden (32% of the population earns more than 1,5 million SEK a year). Many famous people have summerhouses in or close to Trosa, for example the well-known chef, hunter and actor Per Morberg as well as Tommy Körberg, the Swedish Royal Family, Mikael Persbrandt, ABBAs Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus. The founder of Camfil Farr, Gösta Larsson, lived in Trosa all of his life and at the moment the Larsson-Markman family runs the company.
Things you can do
Trosa is easy to walk. The bus is going to leave you near the harbor so you can walk along the canal until you reach the city center. Stop at the tourist office (city center) and ask for a brochure called Trosa- the heritage trail. This is a self-guided walk that takes you along the highlights of the city. I found this brochure helpful because it gives you the attractions, a little bit of history of each one and keeps you moving through the whole town.
If you feel tired, there is a blue tourist train that is free and gets you around the city. This train runs from June until the beginning of August, the tour takes around an hour. You can ask for more information about its schedule inside the tourist office.
If you like to bike, you can rent bicycles at the sports boutique near the tourist office.

Cilla Krantz talar om Smakfull marknad i Torshälla
TVEskilstuna gjorde ett besök på marknaden i Torshälla, som hölls av skälen, att man dels ville marknadsföra egenodlade ekologiska produkter samt att man ej tidigare år hade haft någon marknad med lokalodlat i Eskilstuna. Syftet var dessutom, att man ville utveckla landsbygden.
Det var en underbart vacker dag med sol och litet härlig sjöbris från kanalen i Torshälla. Miljön för de säljare och besökare, som var där, verkade upplevas både trivsam och skön, med vackra färger från blommor och grönsaker bl.a.
Initiativtagare till denna marknad var: Cilla Krantz, Sörmlands Matkluster, Eskilstuna Kommun och Torshälla Stads Förvaltning. Sörmlands Matkluster var den egentliga arrangören, berättade Cilla Krantz, vars mål var, att skapa en positiv utveckling i Torshälla.
Ytterligare en dam, Rina Åhlund, från Torshälla Stads Förvaltning, var involverad i projektet, som bl.a. tillsammans med Cilla Krantz tagit initiativ till och ställt frågan till producenterna, om hur man ville ha Marknaden i Torshälla. Rina jobbar med ett gemensamt projekt för att bl.a. utveckla ortens företagare och fastighetsägarföreningen.
Marknaden finansieras med bl. EU-medel. Man kan också söka Kommunala bidrag och andra utvecklingsmedel. Det går således att få stöd- sedan är det meningen, att det skall rulla på av sig självt, som Cilla Krantz uttryckte det och man hoppas på, att Marknaden fortsätter även nästa år, men man måste naturligtvis utvärdera detta först.
Besökarna har varit många och verkat intresserade under de tre dagar, dels den 27:e juli, den 8:e augusti samt den senaste marknadsdagen, den 15:e augusti, då Eskilstuna TV-team var på plats.

The area has been settled since the Stone Age, in the 6th millennium BC, and was founded as a city in 1252 by Swedish statesman Birger Jarl. It is also the county seat of Stockholm County. For several hundred years, Stockholm was the capital of Finland as well (Finnish: Tukholma), which then was a part of Sweden. The population of the municipality of Stockholm is expected to reach one million people in 2022.

I need training of the SPARK drone and did this video of the bad 'flying' of the Vilsta recreation area and also beach at the river of Eskilstuna. I have been there a lot in my youth with friends having 'sun/beach/summer' parties. Nowdays the jumping tower is gone, the platform seems still to be there.
