Famous for its role in the Peninsular Wars in the early 19th century, and its defensive system (the Lines of Torres Vedras), the region was the scene of the beginning of the retreat of the French army and Napoleon's loss of hegemony in Europe.

Getting into cinematography, so i practiced editing this together with video footage i took of our vacation to portugal in 2019. All of this was filmed using a DJI osmo 2 and a samsung galaxy s10+. I am portuguese, was born and raised there until i was 19 and then moved to the USA in 1998.

2016-10 : AAA trip to Lisbon & Torres Vedras, part 2
Trip by the Archaeological Association of the Algarve to the area between Lisbon & Torres Vedras. This day there was a guided tour of Torres Vedras, the Museum, the Castle and the Forte de São Vicente. Further Castro de Zambujal and the Azinheira de Praia de Santa Cruz were visited.
Blue beach ????️ Praia azul ⛵ Santa Cruz ???? Torres Vedras - 4K UltraHD
The Praia Azul ( Blue beach ) has a very long sandy beach measuring around 1.1 km, it is located in the municipality of Torres Vedras.
At the top of the cliff, in the North area, the houses mix with dune terrain. Upon reaching the central and southern areas, a beautiful dune system takes over the landscape, ending on the banks of the Sizandro River.
This beach is very popular with water sports lovers.
A Praia Azul apresenta um areal muito extenso com cerca de 1,1 Km, fica localizada no concelho de Torres Vedras.
No cimo da falésia, na zona Norte, as habitações misturam-se com terreno de duna. Ao chegar às zonas centro e Sul, um belo sistema dunar toma conta da paisagem, terminando nas margens do Rio Sizandro.
Esta praia é muito procurada por amantes de desportos náuticos.
