THIS IS CRAZY!! Sorry Dutch people, you are not the tallest in the world. Not even close! You guys will not believe how tall the people are in South Sudan! Like EVERYONE on the streets of Juba (South Sudan's capital) is well over 6 feet tall, and many over 7 feet - even the females! It's one of the most unbelievable features of mankind that I've ever seen anywhere on this planet.

Four national parks and fourteen game reserves, which are located throughout the nation, are home to some of Africa's most stunning and significant species. Bandinglio, Boma, Southern, and Nimule national parks are among the four parks. Bandinglio National Park is the most significant of these four. This is due to the fact that it is the site of the second-largest animal migration in the entire planet. The first is the wildlife movement between Tanzania's Serengeti and Kenya's Mara.
Bandinglio National Park was created in 1992 and is situated in the Equatorial and Eastern Regions of South Sudan. It spans more than 10,000 square kilometers and crosses the White Nile. There are numerous diverse creatures that call it home, including giraffes, lions, buffalos, cheetahs, leopards, gazelles, tigers, and elephants.
South Sudan has very few tourism facilities, yet tourists to Juba and other cities and towns in the nation seldom lack for lodging. Several reasonably priced hotels are already in operation, and many more are continuously being built. Juba International Airport in the nation is currently one of the busiest in all of Africa. International flights arrive at the airport from Cairo, Addis Abeba, Nairobi, Entebbe, Khartoum, and Dubai. Moreover, roads connect Sudan, Uganda, Ethiopia, and Kenya to the city of Juba. For the advantage of tourists, a number of tour operators and automobile rental businesses are already operating in the city.

This week, we're in South Sudan, where what was supposed to be a routine flight in a Cessna Caravan 208 over Africa turned into quite an adventure. We were supposed to fly from Juba to Torit, but a massive thunderstorm popped up and caused turbulence and adventure we hadn't bargained for. Join us as we fly over South Sudan during a storm. # 236 Sudan Poludniowy, cz.5: Torit i Juba
Torit i Dżuba, Sudan Południowy ????????
2 ostatnie miasta na trasie w Sudanie Południowym: Torit i Dżuba. Strasznie ciężko robi się zdjęcia ???? w dużych miastach, gdyż każdy napotkany człowiek może okazać się oficerem służb i nie mija 10 sekund, podejdzie i zaczynaja się „kłopoty”. Z tego powodu niewiele zdjęć udało mi się zrobić, bo nie chciałem za każdym razem wchodzić w zbędne dyskusje.
W Dżubie zobaczyłem rządowe budynki, plac z mauzoleum twórcy Sudanu Południowego-Johna Garanga. Trafiłem też do katedry czy innych miejsc. Ale najciekawszym dla mnie punktem, była możliwość odpoczynku w cieniu nad Nilem Białym (tu Nilem Górskim), gdzie udało się spotkać słynną dziennikarkę CNN: Clarissa Ward.
Opuszczam ten kraj z nadzieją, że kolejna wojna przyjdzie nie wkrótce, ale za dobrych kilkadziesiąt lat (choć mało w to wierzę, bo po pierwsze widać, że mieszkańcy są bardzo wybuchowi i o konflikt bardzo łatwo, a po drugie-mężczyźni na prowincji są prawie cały czas pijani, a przy alkoholu łatwiej niestety o odwagę do „działań zaczepnych”).

St.Theresa Cathedral in Juba, South Sudan
The St. Theresa Cathedral or Cathedral of Juba, is a religious building in the Unity Avenue in Bahr al Jabal (Central Equatoria) in the district of Kotor in the town of Juba, capital of the African country of South Sudan.
It serves as the seat of the Archbishop of the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Juba, created on December 12, 1974 by Pope Paul VI by bull Cum in Sudania. Its construction began in 1952.
During the civil war in southern Sudan about 5,000 people took refuge in the cathedral in Juba, which was kept for days by violent clashes between rival factions of the national army.
