Molfetta is a town located in the northern side of the Metropolitan City of Bari, Apulia, southern Italy. It has a well restored old city and its own dialect.
Located in the north-western corner of its province, near the borders with the one of Barletta-Andria-Trani, and by the Adriatic Coast, Molfetta borders with the municipalities of Bisceglie (BT), Giovinazzo, Terlizzi and Ruvo di Puglia. The town is 27 km from Andria, 31 from Barletta and 34 from Bari.

Bitonto is a city and comune in the Metropolitan City of Bari, Italy. It lies to the west of Bari. It is nicknamed the City of Olives, due to the numerous olive groves surrounding the city.
Bitonto lies approximately 11 kilometers (7 mi) to the west of the city of Bari, near the coast of the Adriatic Sea. The bordering municipalities are Bari, Bitetto, Palo del Colle, Altamura, Toritto, Ruvo di Puglia, Terlizzi, and Giovinazzo.

Bari Italy is a port city on the Adriatic Sea, and the capital of southern Puglia Italy region. This Puglia Italy 4k video will show you the mazelike old town, Barivecchia, occupies a headland between 2 harbors. Surrounded by narrow streets, the 11th-century Basilica di San Nicola, a key pilgrimage site, holds some of St. Nicholas’ remains. To the south of Bari Italy, the Murat quarter has stately 19th-century architecture, a promenade and pedestrianized shopping areas.
The capital of Puglia and one of southern Italy’s most prominent cities, Bari Italy combines seaside charm and historical appeal. A major Mediterranean cruise port, the university city is also known for its old town, which boasts churches, picturesque courtyards, and other tucked-away gems.
The city Bari Italy is a major ferry port in the southern Adriatic. The port is used for connecting Italy with numerous destinations including Croatia, Greece, Montenegro, and Albania. There are up to 15 ferry crossings daily from Bari, including the popular Bari to Dubrovnik ferry which sails overnight for a morning arrival.
Bari is also home to Puglia Italy largest and busiest airport, a gateway into an unspoiled region home to white-washed towns, beautiful beaches, and endless groves of olive trees lining the countryside.

In this Salento Puglia Italy travel vlog we have our first tiny home experience, staying in a traditional Italian Trullo home. This is a must do in Italy and one of the top things to do in Pulia. We managed to find this luxury tiny home for the budget price of just 35 euros and were blown away by how awesome it was both inside and out!
Trulli are protected under UNESCO world heritage law and can only be found in the Puglia region of southern Italy, near Salento.
This unique tiny house accommodation feels like living in a cave, with it's cone-shaped roof and stone walls. Staying in a Trullo is definitely a unique Italian experience that we would recommend to anyone!

Une semaine dans les POUILLES, au sud de l'Italie
Les plages de sable blanc, les eaux christallines, les villages blancs, les soirées animées, les plaines d’oliviers et les trulli, oui, c’est bien dans les Pouilles que je me rends cette fois-ci. N’oublions pas la gastronomie, la dolce vita (comprendre la sieste entre 14h et 17h) et le charme à l’italienne. Je vous présente dans cet article mon voyage d’une semaine en train dans les Pouilles (adaptable à 10 jours) ! Mes différentes étapes dans les Pouilles, mes adresses et mes coups de coeur.
C’est parti pour une nouvelle aventure ! Après les différentes étapes de mon tour du monde en solo, j’ai décidé de revenir en Europe et essayer de voyager sans avion quand je peux l’éviter. C’est ainsi que je me trouve sur la route de l’Italie, à bord d’un train, pour un road-trip de 3 semaines. Après quelques jours à Venise, cap vers le sud avec une semaine de voyage en train dans les Pouilles.

Giovinazzo
Giovinazzo è una cittadina in provincia di Bari.
Molto si è discusso sulle sue origini, ma è certo che esistesse già nel IV sec. a.C. Una leggenda vuole che sia stato Perseo, figlio di Giove, a fondare 'Jovis natio'. Giovinazzo è presente nella Tabula Peutingeriana con il nome di Natiolum.
Era (Natiolum), un piccolo centro in età romana, forse sorto sulle rovine della Netium peuceta rasa al suolo durante le guerre puniche. Per tutto il primo millennio fu solo un villaggio di pescatori, marinai e commercianti. Fu sede di un gastaldato longobardo dalla conquista longobarda nel VII secolo fino al ritorno dei bizantini al Mezzogiorno nel X-XI secolo. Fu contesa fra longobardi e bizantini fino alla conquista normanna diventando un importante castrum normanno sotto il regno di Roberto il Guiscardo.
Nel 1257 Manfredi la donò al parente Giordano Lancia. In seguito passò ai Del Balzo di Ugento durante il Regno degli Aragona. Ai Del Balzo e agli Aragona si deve il rinnovamento della cinta muraria con l'inserimento delle 'rondelle' (torrioni cilindrici), forse su disegno di Giuliano da Maiano e Francesco di Giorgio Martini[6]. Passata sotto il dominio spagnolo, Carlo V la vendette a Ferdinando di Capua, duca di Termoli. Passata ai Gonzaga, fu venduta a Nicolò Giudice Caracciolo, principe di Cellamare nel 1651. I principi Giudice furono ultimi padroni di Giovinazzo e Terlizzi fino a quando, morta nel 1770 l'ultima erede, donna Eleonora Giudice, il feudo di Giovinazzo e Terlizzi fu devoluto alla Regia Corte, fino all'abolizione nel 1806 della feudalità.

MIRABELLA ECLANO (Avellino-Irpinia-Italy) - IL CARRO DELLA MADONNA ADDOLORATA - LA GRANDE TIRATA -
La Grande tirata è una manifestazione a carattere religioso che si svolge ogni sabato precedente la terza domenica di settembre a Mirabella Eclano, in Campania, in onore della Madonna Addolorata.Quest'attività folkloristica, consiste nel trasporto, per le vie della città, e precisamente dalla zona Santa Caterina fino al borgo del paese, di un obelisco rivestito di paglia intrecciata. Il carro ha struttura in legno, costituita da 23 travi soprapposte secondo una tecnica che conferisce flessibilità, ma anche praticità di montaggio e smontaggio. Mediante opportuna disposizione delle travi, si creano 7 piani ognuno dei quali, procedendo dal basso verso l'alto, è più basso del precedente; gli ultimi tre registri costituiscono la cupola, sulla cui cima, è fissata la statua della Madonna Addolorata.
Il primo registro è alto sei metri, quelli intermedi si rimpiccioliscono proporzionalmente per terminare con il settimo registro alto un metro e mezzo. Tutta l'apparecchiatura è fissata su un carro simili a quelli che si usavano molti anni fa in agricoltura.
Il carro è trainato da 6 coppie di buoi di stazza imponente. L'obelisco è mantenuto in equilibrio da 38 funi di canapa da 50 metri ciascuna tirate dai funaioli, abitanti e turisti che con urla e canti sostengono la struttura e colorano la grande giornata di festa.
