I also walked around a bit early (right after lunch) so it was very hot and this might explain the lack of people walking around. Our first in Batangas. Let's stroll Tanauan City in Batangas Province. This is a walking tour with a quick aerial view of Tanauan City. It's quite windy so we have limitations flying.
Tanauan city shares its borders with Calamba, Laguna, to the north, Tagaytay, Cavite, to the northwest, Talisay to the west, Santo Tomas City to the east, and the towns of Balete and Malvar to the south. It borders on Taal Lake to the west. The town is known for the Old Tanauan Church Ruins, the most important archaeological site in the municipality where human remains from the colonial era have been unearthed.
The City of Colors”, is one of Mayor Halili’s grand visions for Tanauan City. It aims to transform the city into a spectrum of lively colors thru a synergy of private and public sector’s cooperation. Works had already been undertaken and completed with the installation of colorful lamp posts and construction of covered walkways along the A. Mabini Avenue and Pres. Laurel Hi-way while the private sector made a commitment to paint their respective areas in support of Mayor Halili’s vision. source:
Tanauan City is one of the oldest towns in the province of Batangas became a 1st class municipality in 1996 and eventually became a city by virtue of Republic Ac 9005, otherwise known as “An Act Converting the Municipality of Tanauan into a Component City to be known as the City of Tanauan, enacted on February 2, 2001. It was signed into law by then-President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, was duly ratified and approved through a plebiscite held on March 10, 2001.

This travel and staycation vlog is based on our overnight stay at the Family Villa of Villa Amihan Resort. We were excited as it was our first time in Tanauan, Batangas. We've only heard of Vineyard at Tanauan and thought that it was the only staycation place in Tanauan, Batangas.
Staycation Near Manila
We were surprised that Villa Amihan Resort is just an hour to an hour and a half drive from Manila. Located in Tanauan, Batangas, Villa Amihan Resort is very accessible - no rough road and can be easily be accessed by sedan cars.
Perfect for Family/Barkada outings or Team Buildings
The villa has 12PAX sleeping capacity but they can accommodate up to 20PAX making it a perfect staycation for your family or even with your barked or officemates... and they're pet-friendly too!
