Mt Tambourine is located 25 km inland from the Gold Coast and is often referred to as the Gold Coast hinterland or the Green behind the gold. The plateau of Tamborine Mountain is 550meters above sea level, 4 km wide and approximately 8km long. It has a subtropical climate, good rainfall, deep volcanic soils; the ideal conditions for the local flora (lush rainforests) and fauna to thrive.
The attractions of the district are the beautiful views which exist on both sides of the ranges, the number of rainforest areas with quiet streams and attractive waterfalls and the many craft and antique shops, galleries, wineries, tearooms and restaurants. The rich volcanic soils also support a diversity of horticulture. Commercial crops include avocado, kiwifruit, avocado and macadamia nuts

Hey Fam, I was at Tamborine Mountain, Australia (Mount Tamborine) the other day and it was Ah- mazing!!!
From enjoying the beautiful view from Robert Sowter Park Lookout to window shopping at the gallery walk and having the best gelato I have found yet in Queensland.
It was such a beautiful experience and I have put together a few footage for your viewing pleasure including 10 Things you can do at Mount Tamborine.
I will definitely be going back to experience the waterfall as I hear The Tamborine National Park, Witches Fall Park /Lookout and Curtis Fall are top destinations in Mount Tamborine.

Mount Tamborine - Cedar Creek Falls & Curtis Falls, Gold Coast Hinterland
Hi Everyone and welcome to this weeks addition on a day trip to Cedar Creek Falls and Curtis Falls. Both waterfalls are available on the Mount Tamborine section of the Gold Coast Hinterland.
There are many waterfalls available in this area but I wanted to show you different ones that are not allowed for swimming and one that is. These are both great trails walking through the National park and a nice way to beat the summer heat.

Lush Mount Tamborine is located in the Gold Coast Hinterland, roughly 30 minutes' drive from the Goldie and an hour from Brisbane. The region harbours a wine making industry and is home to a number of boutique wineries, breweries and distilleries. It's a beautiful spot and offers sweeping views of the Hinterland and wider Scenic Rim region.
In this video we join The Vino Bus on a fabulous wine tour from Brissy to Mount Tamborine. Our first stop is the characterful Tamborine Mountain Distillery – a multi-award-winning producer of boutique fruit liqueurs and spirits. From there it's on to Witches Falls Winery, where the cellar door is perfectly integrated into its lush garden surroundings. Combining traditional wine making practices with advanced technology, Witches Falls’ wines are finely nuanced, and the bar is set high for the rest of the day. We enjoy another tasting and a delicious included two-course lunch at Cedar Creek Estate, before venturing on to Mason Wines to sample their signature drops on a sun-drenched deck. It's a really pretty spot.

Curtis Falls and the Gallery walk Tamborine Mountain
Was Curtis Falls Worth the drive?
We headed to Tamborine Mountain in search of a waterfall and we found Curtis Falls in Tamborine National Park, we finished our visit walking the Gallery Walk.
Our trip to Queensland was about family, but we had a few hours to ourselves and I wanted to go to a waterfall. We found ourselves on the Gold Coast dropping our son off and we took the chance to head up to the hinterland and visit Tamborine Mountain in search of a waterfall.
We had not done any research and really had no idea what to expect. You drive through the gallery walk on the way to the falls, so we knew it was a place to stop for afternoon tea, but not until after our visit.
Arriving at Tamborine Mountain we took to the trail and almost immediately entered the rainforest, the walk is beautiful and winds downhill, with some stairs. it is a 30 mins return walk and I have to say it is really lovely and worth it.
The falls are not a massive drop, but pretty, the only complaint is there is a road above you so you need up with traffic noise, but not a deal broker. Something I did know until I got home was that there are glow worms around the falls, it is a protected area and swimming is not permitted.
The walk back up to the car park for the unfit is a bit tough on the steep parts but very doable.
The Gallery walk is a street with around 70 shops, restaurants and cafes to keep you interested for hours. We were in search of afternoon tea and by the time we got there was the end of the day, so we had limited choices and enjoyed a moment at the monkey tree cafe.
