TEQUILA, JALISCO | Day Trip Guide | Tequila Tours | La Alborada | Fortaleza
We are both major Tequila fans, we might even go as far as saying it’s our favorite liquor! Serve us up a margarita loaded with some tequila and we are in heaven. So of course when in Guadalajara we couldn’t miss the opportunity to go straight to the source. We visited Tequila, Jalisco the birthplace of Tequila and will rave about it for a while.
We’ve been on tequila tours before in Cancun and Mazatlan, but we were able to experience more than just a tasting here. We give a rough guide to follow, from how to get there to where to go, how much it costs and what to expect. Feel free to use this guide for your next trip to TEQUILA!
We eat breakfast overlooking the beautiful Church and then drink quite a bit of Tequila. There are two distilleries that we visit in today’s vlog and we would recommend them to all our friends and family! We had an amazing experience, but watch the vlog to see for yourself!

Tala - ???? Río de las Ánimas y las AGUAS TERMALES ???? de Los Volcanes ????
Visité parte de la Ruta del Gigante y también las aguas termales Los Volcanes, ambos destinos en el municipio de Tala dentro del Área Natural Protegida El Bosque de La Primavera.
Comencé mi recorrido con un pajarete de cabra ???????? en la carretera Tala Ameca, en un lugar muy acogedor atendido por Chelito y Peri.

La Ruta de El Gigante es de 22 km. se puede hacer caminando o en bicicleta pero la ruta esta dura por la erosión que dejó el temporal de lluvias pasado, sin embargo, caminando hacia Rock Garden y Toba Tala, es una caminata muy ligera de 2.5 km.

We made it to the Pueblo Mágico, Tequila in the state of Jalisco during Mexican Independence Day weekend. The town was hopping and lots of the famous agave spirit was consumed. But the highlight of our stay was a last minute visit to the legendary Fortaleza distillery where we learned all about the process of making tequila the old-school way.

We’re Sean and Elliot, two thirty-something former musical theatre actors and restaurant industry veterans with a passion for food and travel.
In 2015 we got married, said goodbye to our acting ambitions, quit our day jobs, and decided to spend our honeymoon on a one-year Working Holiday Visa backpacking throughout New Zealand. That once-in-a-lifetime experience changed our perspective and opened us up to the possibility of long-term travel.
2020 was a brutal year for us, but it gave us the opportunity to rethink our priorities and commit ourselves to our dream of traveling the world together. So in August of 2021, we sold all of our stuff and bought a one-way ticket to Mexico with the plan to travel for as long as we possibly can.

In this video we start on the La Paz Malecon, then visit the municipal market of La Paz before wandering the streets where we find the best fish tacos in La Paz and also try a local delicacy called Chocolate Clams! We end the video back on the Malecon in La Paz with some ice cream and a beautiful Sunset!
